Chapter 11
It hurt, it hurt so much.
Sylvia curled up on the ground, crying uncontrollably,
If he could not be resurrected, why would the system deceive itself in such a way?
Was it fun to play with her? Giving her hope and then completely destroying it, right?
If the system wanted to witness her painful death, she would oblige it.
She stood up from the ground, walked to the coffee table, took a fruit knife, and slowly approached
her own wrist.
This idea, in fact, had already been decided by her when Quentin passed away,
It was only at the last moment that the system appeared, giving her a glimmer of hope, which made
her temporarily abandon the idea of seeking death.
Now, it was time for her to go and accompany Quentin.
She closed her eyes, placed the blade on her wrist, and was about to exert force when suddenly the
door opened.
“What were you doing?”
A familiar sound came, causing Sylvia to freeze instantly.
She opened her eyes in astonishment and looked towards the door. The next second, the knife in
her hand fell directly to the ground.
Quentin! It was really him!
He was still the same as five years ago, with a handsome face that carried a hint of aloofness. The
sunlight shone on his face, as if it was gilded with a golden edge, making him look as if a divine being had descended.
Sylvia had never been so joyful before. She ran towards him, crying, and then tightly embraced him.
“Quentin! It’s really you!”
“Where did you go? Do you know how much I missed you!”
“I was really scared, scared that you wouldn’t come back…”
She cried uncontrollably, but this time, they were tears of joy.

Just as she was about to ask him more, those long and powerful hands gently pulled her out of his
embrace.
He looked at her, his gaze gentle yet distant.
“Miss, who are you and how did you end up in my house?”
In the hospital, when Sergio woke up, it was already dark.
He became unconscious only when he was extremely angry. The doctor gave him an infusion, and
now he is fine.
The hospital was quiet. He opened his eyes and immediately saw Sylvia’s beautiful face.
He immediately sat up and shouted loudly for his assistant’s name.
“Where is Sylvia? Take me to see Sylvia!”
