Chapter 10
in the cold operating room, the lights were so white that they were frightening
The doctors and nurses huddled to one side, watching, Sergio in a fit of rage, trembling incessantly.
They also didn’t expect that the surgery would fall.
To his surprise, he was so furious upon learning about Sylvia’s death, even though he had never
cared about her before.
Wasn’t it said that Miriam was the most important person to him? How come now that the surgery
is over, he doesn’t even look at her.
Sergio walked step by step towards the surgical bed covered with white cloth, his feet heavy as if
filled with lead,
He had never imagined that one day he would meet Sylvia in such a situation.
The small body covered with a white cloth was Sylvia.
I don’t know when she started to become so thin.
I still remember when I first saw her, her face was round and when she smiled, she had two
dimples.
A strong pang of pain surged through him, as if his heart was about to burst open.
The sentence kept replaying in my mind.
Sylvia died; Sylvía died.
The huge stone on his chest finally couldn’t hold on any longer. He covered his chest and forcefully spat out a mouthful of blood.
Immediately after, he fainted.
In another world, Sylvia was slowly waking up.
She seemed to have had a long dream, in which she lost the person she loved the most, and then stayed with another man for a whole five years.
These five years have been too long, so long that she was almost unable to hold on.
Fortunately, she finally finished the task and returned completely to her own world.
As a beam of light shone into the room, Sylvia fuHy opened her eyes.

She surveyed the furnishings of the room, the familiar layout, the sycamore tree outside the window, its leaves had turned yellow, and the daffodils on the windowsill had long since withered.
She came back, she came back, she really came back!
Sylvia jumped off the bed with some excitement. She remembered that at the last moment, the system had told her that her mission was successful.
So, Quentin also came back to life!
At this thought, her heart became so joyful that it almost leaped out of her chest.
She ran out of the room quickly, shouting Quentin’s name.
“Quentin!”
“Quentin! Where were you?”
As soon as she thought about being able to see Quentin, she became so excited that she didn’t care
about anything else.
But she searched for a long time and didn’t see any trace of Quentin.
She took out her phone and dialed Quentin’s number, but no one answered.
Looking at the empty room, Sylvia’s originally excited heart turned cold in that instant.
Was the system deceiving her?
Still, it was simply a dream she had.
There was no system at all, and Quentin would not come back to life!
She sat weakly on the ground, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.
