Chapter 16
After the rustling sound of the blanket, Lilyana, feeling insecure, buried herself in Graham’s arms, following the warmth, and fell into a deep sleep, sniffing the comforting scent on him.
Unconsciously, I murmured, “So noisy, why aren’t you sleeping yet…”
Graham hooked his lips and held her in his arms, gently and slowly patting her back to lull her to sleep.
“Go to sleep obediently, I won’t disturb you anymore.”
When I checked my phone again, I found that the call had been disconnected at some point.
Braxton gripped the phone tightly, squeezing it so hard that it almost shattered.
Deven’s eyes were glaring crimson, and he felt extremely unwilling in his heart.
Branden’s eyes drooped slightly, and he was also calculating something in his mind.
The next day, the three of them coincidentally checked out of the hospital early.
Before the family banquet started, Lilyana appeared in front of everyone, holding Graham’s hand.
Wearing a gentle and delicate pink dress, she stood alongside a man who exuded a commanding presence, complementing each other perfectly.
The Marquez family, the people who came to the family banquet, looked at her with a hint of awe.
Completely different from the past, when there was a subtle contempt towards her.
Lilyana stood here, representing her identity, and no one dared to casually discuss her as they did
before.
She saw through the true faces of these people, but she never thought of exposing them. Instead, she held onto Graham’s arm and walked towards the main hall.
As Graham walked past the garden, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
“How about I take you to see a good play today?”
There was a deeper meaning in his words, but he did not have any intentio explicitly state it.
“Our three nephews, it seems, have not yet received the punishment they deserve for the wrongdoings they did.”
“Um.” Lilyana just listened, feeling deeply moved in her heart.

He was still the first one to stand firmly by her side, believing in her and speaking up for her.
Her parents never cared whether she was wronged or not, they only hoped that she could win the
favor of the three Marquez brothers and facilitate this marriage.
Moreover, they were constantly busy and traveling, so even if they knew she had been wronged,
they would only casually comfort her and continue with their own careers.
Sir Marquez and Madam Marquez lived in seclusion at their estate all year round, paying no
attention to worldly affairs. They would only return to the Marquez family to handle important
family matters.
Even though they loved her, they could never stand up for her every time.
Fabian and Delilah, not to mention, only cared about their three children.
So, all along, Lilyana could only rely on herself.
She suddenly looked up at Graham, unconsciously clutching his sleeve, and asked, “Graham, can I try to rely on you?”
“Of course,” Graham answered without hesitation, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.
