Chapter 17 

“Madam Marquez said, today when I have to choose who to marry in front of everyone, I already have the answer in my heart. Do you really have to make me marry someone else for you to regret and truly realize your love for me?” 

“You said that at the moment I rescued you from the ruins of the earthquake, you fell in love with me, and I was the only one in your hearts. How could you easily let go of that? Then what does it matter the injuries I suffered for this?” 

Upon hearing these words, the three individuals halted their steps. 

“Huh.” Branden’s face turned icy cold, and a flicker of anger ignited in his pitch–black eyes. “You saved us from the injuries we suffered? Weren’t those injuries caused by you yourself?” 

“We thought it was you who saved us, and we have been good to you all these years. Look at what all this is now! You still want to treat us like fools!” 

With that, Branden threw a stack of photos onto Violet’s face. 

She felt extremely cold all over her body, trembling as she picked up those few photos, and she didn’t even dare to open her eyes to look at them. 

However, all the memories from that year resurfaced in 

my mind. 

Back in the day, the three Marquez brothers, representing the Marquez Group, went to Swoeles to attend a charity fundraising event. Unfortunately, an earthquake struck on the same day of the 

event. 

The three brothers of the Marquez family were all buried in the rubble, just like Violet who was with them. 

She was in a state of extreme panic and fear, with only one thought in her mind: to survive. 

So, after the rescue team arrived, he called for help first, but as soon as he was rescued, he instantly felt relieved and fainted. 

Not even a word was mentioned about the three unconscious Marquez brothers who were trapped near her. 

After learning about the earthquake news, Lilyana disregarded the obstacle nd rushed towards the earthquake site against the crowd.

She risked her life and saved the three of them, suffering countless injuries.

But only Lilyana was left behind. 

If it weren’t for the search and rescue personnel patrolling and searching, she might have died 

there. 

Looking at these incredibly clear photos, Violet’s mind went blank, her lips moved a few times, 

unsure of how to explain.

“The person who saved you was really me, all of this is fake, you have to believe me, right Lilyana? 

It was her intention to deceive you with all of this.” 

“She had already gotten married, so why is she still not content? I knew it long ago, she is so greedy, she wants all three of you…”
