Chapter 18
“Because of you, we hurt Lilyana so many times. If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t have reached this point with her at all!”
He looked at the floating and sinking Violet in the man–made lake, with only a sense of relief in his
heart, without a trace of pity.
“Save me… I couldn’t swim! Please, I beg you! Spare me, I truly know I was wrong!”
She struggled continuously, desperately seeking help.
Deven sneered contemptuously and coldly said, “Enough, stop pretending, you can swim!”
“You wouldn’t think that just because you learned Lilyana, we would feel sorry for you, would
you?”
Branden and Braxton also clearly seemed indifferent, showing no intention of saving her.
Violet’s frantic flailing gradually came to a halt as she realized that no one would really save her. She could only try to conserve her energy and slowly play along the shore.
“Branden, Braxton, Deven, I truly know I was wrong. It’s true that Lilyana did a great job rescuing you from the wreckage, but if it wasn’t for me, you might not have waited for the rescue team to arrive. I saved you too!”
She managed to climb ashore, but at the very moment she was about to fully reach the shore, Branden stepped on her hand.
Just as she was calling for help, he heartlessly kicked her shoulder, sending her back into the water.
After much effort, Violet managed to climb up again, only to be pushed back into the water by
Braxton once more.
After tossing and turning several times, I finally let her go when I saw that she was gasping for
breath.
“If you had any sense, you would have voluntarily divorced Grandma, otherwise we would never let you off easily!”
“Everything today was just a beginning, giving you a little lesson! If you don’t give up yet, you will know the consequences.”
In Braxton’s eyes, there was only indifference and disgust.
Violet felt as if she had fallen into an ice cellar, her body shivering a few times, feeling a chilling sensation. Finally, her eyes rolled back, and she completely fainted.

Branden calmly instructed the servant to take her away, while Braxton and Deven remained composed, ready to walk towards the main hall.
At this moment, Lilyana turned her head to Graham beside her, feeling somewhat puzzled.
“Most of the faults were caused by the three of them, why punish only Violet?”
“Did you want to include them?”
She regretted it as soon as she asked the question.
Graham, Branden, Braxton, and Deven were the true family.
With blood ties, Graham had to help his relatives and accommodate them, so it was not her place to
question them at all.
Lilyana subconsciously lowered her head, her eyes avoiding contact, and tugged at her lips.
“Just pretend I didn’t say anything.”
Graham caught her hesitation, smiled indulgently, and held her hand in his palm.
“Don’t worry, those who have done wrong should be punished. Their three parents didn’t teach them, so it’s up to us as elders to teach them.”
“A tree needs to remove the surrounding weeds, dig out the wormholes on the trunk, and cut off
useless branches in order to grow better. The same goes for a company, and the Marquez family as
well.”
“What I said, with me, you could always rely on me to do what you love and want to do. I was your eternal support.”
“Um.” Lilyana nodded absentmindedly, instinctively covering her burning ears, and awkwardly
shifted her gaze towards the distance.
Suddenly, three dull splashes were heard, as it turned out that the black–clad bodyguards under
