Chapter 2
After completing the procedures, it was already dark.
Maeve hailed a car and picked up her phone to search for plane tickets.
Although the name change procedure has been submitted, it still requires one month for the review
process.
So she directly booked a flight ticket for the 1st of next month to Mardale, and then replied to the study abroad agency accepting the offer.
Since graduating, Maeve has started preparing for further studies abroad.
But because Donte said he couldn’t be without her and didn’t want a long–distance relationship, the matter of studying abroad was postponed for three years.
Now she has decided to cancel the wedding and end this relationship, so everything from the past
should be let go.
She also had to consider herself and start a new life.
After returning home, Maeve changed out of her wet clothes, freshened up, and then rested.
That night, she slept more peacefully than she had in the past month.
The next morning, she got up and had breakfast, then cleared out everything related to Donte.
The gift he gave her, the couple clothes they bought together, the love letters he sent during their student days…
There were five boxes filled.
She dragged them out of the villa one by one and threw them all into the trash bin.
Busy with work, a limited–edition sports car suddenly came to a stop by the roadside.
Maeve turned around at the sound and saw Donte.
He embraced a woman and swaggered out of the car.
Even though he saw her, he did not dodge.
Maeve knew that the reason he was so unabashed was simply because he assumed she would distance herself from his actions during his amnesia period.
From the beginning, Donte refused to acknowledge her as his girlfriend and even had someone throw all her belongings out of the villa.

She thought she would end up on the streets, but the owner of the neighboring house suddenly contacted her and offered to rent it to her at the lowest price as he was going abroad.
She thought she was lucky at that time, but now it seems that it was just a play directed by himself.
He was afraid that she would really leave, so he used this method to keep her.
Looking back on the past month of being deceived, Maeve could only find it laughable.
She didn’t care about what play he was going to perform today. She turned around, lifted the last box, and dumped it into the trash bin.
Passing by, Donte glanced over and noticed the things she had dropped, his face turning cold.
“How did you throw away all these things?
Maeve glanced at him. Her tone was indifferent.
“Weren’t you suffering from amnesia? How do you remember all these things?”
Donte suddenly realized that he had let slip, and quickly adjusted his expression, pretending not to
care.
“It was just a casual question; how could I possibly remember? The past is the past, the present is the present, and now I only like Phoebe. After all, when I had a car accident in Midwich, she was the only one who took care of me.”
Car accident?
Even the amnesia was just acting, so where did the car accident come from?
Maeve slightly curled her lips and glanced at the woman he held in his arms.
Wearing heavy makeup, with a slender figure, dressed in cool attire, a pair of foxy eyes were filled
with pride.
Unfamiliar faces that I had never seen before.
Perhaps the most satisfying bed partner that Donte had slept with during this period, so he brought it back with great fanfare.
She didn’t want to waste any more words with him, so she just made a sound of agreement and
turned around to enter the villa.
As he watched her walk away without looking back, Donte’s eyelid twitched.
He brought someone back, shouldn’t Maeve be crying and jealous?

Why was it so calm?
