I blinked, trying to process what he was saying. “You can’t be serious. You’re about to marry her.” 

I stood there, stunned, trying to make sense of what he was saying. “For me?” I 

whispered, barely able to believe it. The sunflowers, the way he had been 

acting–was it really all meant for me? My heart raced as I put the pieces together. 

Nathan wasn’t thinking about Sienna at all. It was like she didn’t even exist to him 

today. I felt a mix of confusion and shock. “Nathan, you’re supposed to be 

marrying Sienna,” I said, trying to stay calm. But the way he looked at me, so sure 

of himself, made it clear this wasn’t a mistake. He had planned everything, just for 

1. me. 

Nathan’s expression didn’t waver. “I can change my bride at any time. Doris, I 

want to win you back. You’re the right person for me, for Luna. I see that now.” 

I stared at him, my mind racing. This was too much. “Go back to the venue, 

Nathan,” I said softly. “There’s a surprise waiting for you.” 

He looked confused but nodded and turned to walk back inside. I stayed behind 

for a moment, my heart pounding. I knew what was coming next, but I wasn’t sure 

how I felt about it. 

When I finally returned to the hall, I could feel the shift in the atmosphere. The 

room was silent, every eye fixed on the large screen at the front. I followed their 

gazes and saw the video playing–Sienna, entangled with another man, a male model, clearly caught in a moment of passion. 

The timestamp in the corner was unmistakable. This had happened when Sienna was supposed to be bonding with Nathan, building their future together. 

The silence was thick. No one moved, no one dared to say a word. I watched as

Sienna stood frozen, her face pale. For a moment, she was completely still, taking in the sight of her own betrayal on display. Then, she seemed to snap out of her 

shock all at once. “No! This isn’t real!” she screamed, her voice shaking with 

disbelief and anger. The words echoed through the hall, breaking the stillness and pulling everyone’s attention back to her. 

She charged toward the screen, desperate to destroy the evidence, but Nathan’s bodyguard stepped in, blocking her way. 

Sienna spun around, her eyes wild, searching for someone to blame. Her gaze landed on me, and without thinking, she lunged. “You did this!” she shrieked, her hands clawing at the air as she reached for me. “You set me up!” 

I didn’t flinch. I waited until she was close enough, then I slapped her. Hard. The sound echoed through the hall, and the room fell into a stunned silence. Sienna stumbled back, clutching her cheek, her eyes wide with shock. 

I looked down at her, my voice calm but cold. “You think I set you up?” I asked, tilting my head slightly. “You think I needed to?” 

Sienna looked up at me, her face twisted in anger and humiliation. She was trembling, her entire world crumbling around her, and all I could feel was pity. 

Sienna’s eyes flicked around the room, searching for someone to back her up, but all she saw were the guests staring at her in shock. She took a shaky breath, trying to regain her composure, but I could see the anger and humiliation swirling inside her. “You don’t know anything about me!” she yelled, her voice trembling, but I could tell her confidence was slipping away. 

The crowd was caught up in the moment, their expressions showing a mix of concern and curiosity about what would happen next. Instead of pulling away, I leaned in a bit closer, softening my expression just slightly. “Maybe you’re right, Sienna. But the truth is, you brought this on yourself. I just stood here and watched.”
