After getting off the plane, Molly stood at the airport exit, waiting for Tessa to pick her up.
She braved the cold wind for half an hour, but there was still no sign of Tessa. Feeling puzzled, she took out her phone and called her.
Instead of ringing, a robotic female voice stated, "The number you have dialed is unavailable."
How did her number suddenly become unavailable? They had spoken an hour ago. A bad feeling settled in Molly's gut. Could something have happened to Tessa?
Unable to reach her by phone, she immediately opened WhatsApp and tried a video call. The call rang until it automatically disconnected, unanswered.
Molly called five times in a row, but no one picked up. Panic began to set in.
Earlier, when she had spoken to Tessa, she had said she would arrive at the airport in about 15 minutes. But nearly 40 minutes had passed, and there was still no sign of her.
Her calls went unanswered, and her messages were ignored.
Molly did not know anyone else in Rivertown besides Tessa. Feeling anxious, she suddenly remembered that Tessa had mentioned the name of her law firm before. Everbright Law Group.
Without hesitation, Molly searched for it online. Within seconds, the firm's details appeared on the webpage, including the office's landline number.
She immediately dialed the number. The phone rang for a long time, but no one answered. It was after office hours, and no one was at the firm. That call was useless.
Panicking, Molly had no choice but to call the police.
The authorities immediately contacted Tessa's family. When Samuel and Marianne heard that she had gone missing, they were beside themselves with worry. They started calling her friends, desperate to find out if anyone was with her.
The second man who had stepped out of the vehicle was far more skilled than the first. After a fierce struggle, Tessa was ultimately overpowered. Her hands and feet were bound, and she was forced into the car.
"Are you kidnapping me? Is it for money?" she demanded, her voice steady despite the fear creeping in.
The driver burst into a fit of laughter as if she had just said something absurd. "Money? Hahaha! Mr. Fullerton doesn't need your pathetic money."
Mr. Fullerton? A sense of dread settled deep in her stomach.
A memory flashed in her mind as she recalled the terrifying moment when she had nearly lost her life on the street. Her face turned pale as she asked, "Are you working for James?"
The driver's expression darkened, and he snapped angrily, "You damn woman! How dare you call Mr. Fullerton by his first name? Do you have a death wish?"

Yuhohoooo!!! Finally!!!...
Aaand~ Tessa and Stephen are finally back together! Yaaaaay!...
Why make an uninteresting, irrelevant twist when readers are waiting for Tess and Stephen to be together?...
Gosh just let Tessa and Stephen get back together already! Ugh...
Oh my god, when is this book finishing... they're not even back together yet and more nonsense side plots.....
Whoa! Hahahahahaha! Go, Sophia! Burn, stupid Rowena! Lol...
Sooo~ Chapters 310-318 were just a repeat of Jacqueline’s punishment, official expulsion from the Jacobson family, and arrest. With few changes since Tessa and Stephen are not together this time. So Tessa didn’t witness how Jacqueline was tortured at Stephen’s base, though at least Tessa was still called over and witnessed how Stephen officially expelled Jacqueline from the Jacobson family and how Stephen’s subordinate made Jacqueline grovel in front of Tessa. Lol. I hope Jacqueline’s really out of the story now....
Also a lot of chapters were missing here. I went back to the application where it was originally published that’s why i know that this site is not reliable...
Fucked up book! Seems like the authors were not talking to each other. LOL. Yes authors, because of the inconsistencies....
The story went downhill after pg200 1. Why is Jacqueline back… she was expelled from the family already 2. There was no reason for Rowena to be mad at Tessa 3. The Jacobson already knows that Stephen wants to get back witb Tessa after they deal with James, so why is Rowena pushing hard? LOL 4. The family also knows that Stephen and Nancy have some sort of deal. The story was okay from page 1-199, but clearly it’s a thumbs down. I can deal with grammatical errors, but story errors is just different now....
