Inside the private room where Quentin's party was in full swing, Tessa began telling Stephen about everything that had happened at her firm.
"Do you know why my colleagues were so shocked to see you? Some of them had seen me getting out of your car one time and began spreading rumors that I have a sugar daddy. They even claimed that my sugar daddy is old, greasy, and ugly."
Stephen's gaze grew sharp and cold when he heard Tessa's words. "Someone was spreading rumors about you?"
She answered indifferently, "Yes, but I've already taken care of it. Don't worry."
"What? Someone dared to spread rumors that you were being kept by an old man? Why didn't you tell us that you were being bullied?" Quentin exclaimed in outrage.
Stephen cast him a frosty glance. "Why does she need to tell you about it?"
Naomi pinched Quentin's side. "Tess is Stephen's fiancée, and they're about to hold their engagement party soon. Why are you putting on a show here? Are you trying to steal the spotlight?"
Quentin chuckled. "Hey, could you stop pinching me? I was just upset to hear that Tessa was bullied. After all, we're all friends here, aren't we?"
Stephen turned to Tessa, his eyes softening with a tinge of guilt.
"Tess, first you were harassed while working on a case. Now, you're being slandered at your firm. I feel like I've failed as your fiancé for not protecting you properly…"
Tessa shook her head. "That's not how it works, Stephen. You can't be with me at every hour of the day."
"Tess, let me tell you something. Stephen can't stand to see you being bullied because you're his precious treasure," Quentin chimed in again.
He continued, "You don't know this, but back in the day, he almost beat someone to death for you—"
Before he could finish, Stephen interrupted him sharply, "Quentin!"
Noticing Stephen's displeased expression, Quentin paused and immediately changed the subject. "It's nothing. All's well that ends well."
However, Tessa wasn't just about to let it go. She was curious and determined to dig deeper. "Who did he nearly beat to death back then?"
Stephen took a sip of his drink and replied nonchalantly, "No one. He's just talking nonsense."
Tessa fixed her bright eyes on him, pretending to be stern. "Stephen, don't speak now. I want to hear what Quentin has to say."
Stephen immediately fell silent.
Quentin glanced between Tessa and Stephen, then teased, "Wow. Stephen is whipped."

The readers' comments on the novel: His Unveiled Passion
I wonder how many authors does this book have? Suddenly jacqueline was back and continue to bad mouth tessa. And was stunned that tessa knows her feelings about stephen. And then rowena was freaking mad at tessa too; because there werw multiple instances that tessa sharp-tongued her. 🤣...
What is wrong with the story flow? At chapter 160-164 there’s this whole thing about Stephen revealing in front of all the Jacobsons family members about Jacqueline’s inappropriate feelings towards him and her involvement in murder. There’s even this “Just like that, Jacqueline was officially expelled from the Jacobson family. Stephen then promptly handed her to the authorities.” So I was already glad the bitch is out of the picture. And then suddenly at chapter 236, Jacqueline appears again like nothing happened, still being the adoptive daughter of the Jacobson family and the family being unaware of her feelings for Stephen. Seriously? Doesn’t make sense anymore....
The latest update is just a repetition of the previous chapters...
I don’t like that Stephen is dropping Tessa. They could work together to go after James. But if this happens then I’ll stop reading....
Whats wrong with the typing?? There a lot of weird words...
More frequent updates please...
When will there be more chapters...
