Adelaide knew this was undoubtedly the perfect moment to capture Morwenna. After all, no one else was aware that Morwenna was hiding here. They believed keeping her tucked away here was far safer than amidst the sprawling Hetfield family.
With her hat brim lowered, Adelaide kept her eyes fixed intently on the small apartment complex, waiting for Yara to send someone over.
Upon receiving the news, Yara instinctively wanted to seek out Phineas. But as she stepped out of her room, she paused, recalling the sting of the slap Phineas had given her and the smug look on Sabrina's face. For a brief moment, she hesitated to inform Phineas.
Despite their recent quarrels, the bond she had with Phineas since childhood still prevailed. Phineas had always treated her well, and such a significant matter surely needed to be shared with him. She couldn't entertain the thought of keeping it to herself.
In the Hetfield family, Yara indeed felt a sibling-like affection for Phineas. Resolving her inner turmoil, Yara resumed her steps, determined to inform Phineas so they could retrieve Morwenna promptly.
Unknown to her, a treacherous slick of oil had somehow found its way onto the staircase leading down from the second floor. Wearing slippers and in a rush due to the urgent news, Yara quickened her pace.
Suddenly, her foot slipped. Her eyes widened in terror as she instinctively clutched her belly. In the next instant, she lost her balance, tumbling down the stairs with a series of painful thuds.
The noise echoed through the villa, alarming everyone inside.
"Oh my God, Ms. Hetfield has fallen!"
"Look at all that blood. Do you think her baby is in danger?"
Despite her age, Yara insisted that everyone in the Hetfield family still address her as Ms. Hetfield, clinging to her status.
