Sandy looked at Brandon for a while before speaking softly, "Only two slaps?"
Brandon quickly picked up on the cue, "You can slap me as many times as you want, just so you're not angry."
"My hand would hurt from slapping you."
"How about... you find someone else to do it?"
"No!" Sandy immediately rejected Brandon's suggestion.
Seeing Sandy's determination, Brandon decided not to push further. "Then what should we do?"
Sandy appeared to be seriously contemplating the question. After a few seconds, she leaned closer to Brandon, "From now on, you need to report everything to me and nothing like this can happen again. You have to write a guarantee letter and keep writing until I'm satisfied!"
Naturally, Brandon readily agreed to Sandy's request.
While Sandy had indeed been angry earlier, there was also an element of stubbornness in her behavior. She had been somewhat unreasonable in her reaction, feeling wronged by the situation and allowing her emotions to take over.
However, Brandon was also partly responsible for this. Over the years, he had pampered her to the point of making her feel incapable. He had always been attentive and considerate, which contributed to her current demeanor.
After their conversation, Brandon's mind was still occupied with the medicine Sandy had taken.
"Sandy."
Sandy hummed, resting her head on his leg, half-asleep.
Looking at her, Brandon hesitated to disturb her sleep, "Should we go to bed?"
Sandy shook her head, turned, and hugged Brandon's waist, "I want to sleep here. I haven't said I'm not angry anymore; you're still in the probation period."
Brandon's lips curled up slightly, and he replied softly, "Alright."
After a while, when Brandon thought she was asleep, Sandy's muffled voice came through, "I've already thrown away the medicine, so you don't need to worry."
Hearing this, Brandon's heart was immediately put at ease. He couldn't help but bend down and lightly kiss her cheek.
Sandy's lips twitched, "No kissing."
"Alright."
"I want to go to bed."
"Alright."
Brandon bent down and picked her up from the couch.
As he carried her towards the bed, Sandy added, "I want to take a shower."
Brandon's steps halted, and he looked down at Sandy nestled in his arms. He coaxed, "We don't have anything here. How about we go home?"
Sandy didn't say anything. Brandon continued, "I've prepared everything you usually use at home."
Sandy remained silent.
Brandon went on, "I've even bought several sets of your favorite sleepwear in different styles. Want to take a look?"
Sandy still didn't respond, but she started fidgeting with Brandon's fingers.
Encouraged, Brandon continued, "I also got the perfume you liked the last time. How about it?"
"I'll think about it."
Knowing that Sandy was considering it, Brandon leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I've turned the bed into a hammock."
As soon as Brandon's words were out, Sandy immediately said, "I want to go now."
"Alright."
With that, Brandon carried Sandy towards the door.
Once they reached the door, Sandy suggested, "Shouldn't we say goodbye to my sister?"
