At Neve's apartment.
Nancy leaned on the door frame with her arms folded, looking at Neve who was packing her luggage, "Are you really going to live with Zane?"
Neve didn't pause. "There is no better chance than now."
Nancy frowned, "Buzz invited you to the show, what do you think?"
Hearing this, Neve stopped what he was doing, turned around, and looked at Nancy, her pretty brows were slightly raised, "Buzz? Why would they suddenly invite me?"
Nancy walked in, pulled a chair aside, and sat down, "Your popularity is higher than everyone. Buzz is not stupid. They won't just watch such a good opportunity slip away."
Hearing Nancy's words, Neve sat down beside the bed, "Does Mr. Hughes know?"
Nancy said, "I went to see Mr. Hughes before coming here. Mr. Hughes asked me to ask for your opinion."
Neve was a little shocked, "Mr. Hughes asked you to ask for my opinion?"
Nancy nodded, "So what do you think?"
Just as Neve was about to speak, Nancy spoke again, "Neve, I know you will be upset if I say it, but I have been working with you for so many years. I am by your side, even in the years you didn't show up in front of the public. Because I know what kind of person you are and that you like this job."
Speaking of this, Nancy paused, "But Neve, I'm afraid only you know how your relationship with Mr. Lawrence is now. The reason you are doing so well now is that you have Mr. Lawrence's handle. But, have you ever thought about what you will rely on when you have no relationship with Mr. Lawrence one day in the future?"
Nancy was straightforward.
Neve was silent for a few seconds, "So, what do you think, Nancy? Should I accept Buzz's invitation?"
"Do you want it?"
Neve hesitated for a few seconds, "Kind of. Not every artist can show up on Buzz. I will be honored to be one of them."
Originally, Nancy didn't intend to let Neve go to Buzz.
But then she thought if Neve rejected Buzz's invitation this time, she probably would never get a second chance in the future.
After all, in showbiz, no artist could be famous forever.
So Nancy changed her mind.
"Since you want to go, then go, I will go with you then."
Neve nodded. "Okay, what is it?"
Nancy raised her hand and glanced at the time, "I'll have dinner with the editor-in-chief of Buzz tonight, you'll come with me."
Nancy looked at Neve, "If you go, Mr. Hughes should be there too."
"Okay, I'll go there then."
Nancy looked at her, "Then? What are you doing now?"
Neve pointed to the clothes on the bed, "Tidying up stuff."
Nancy looked at Neve, wanted to say something, but didn't in the end.
It might not make any difference if she spoke. Not to mention that Neve could be terribly stubborn sometimes.
"Then I will pick you up in the evening." Nancy didn't intend to stay with Neve any longer.
Neve responded and sent Nancy to the door of the apartment, "Call me in advance when you come over in the evening, in case I'm not here."
Nancy hummed, "You know what you should and shouldn't do, don't you?."
Neve nodded, "Nancy, take care."
After Nancy left, Neve stood where she was for a while.
She called Zane.
The call wasn't answered immediately.
But the person who answered the phone was not Zane, but Albi.
