Bonnie eventually snapped because he kept avoiding her question, "Are you sick? I have said enough and you just keep coming back? What? Haven't I made it clear enough?"
"Or were my words not hurtful enough?"
Myles looked at her agitated and chuckled. He stroked her hair like usual and said, "So you know your words were hurtful?"
Bonnie slapped him in the arm, "What do you want?"
"I just miss you," Myles said in a low voice, "I have waited in the hospital for days and you never came. Have you been busy?"
Bonnie could never take it when he acted like this.
He looked so pitiful and her heart melted.
"Why should I go see you? I hate you," she looked away, "If you said anything to that scumbag, I will stitch your lips!"
"I have conditions."
Bonnie glared at him, "YOU have conditions?"
"You care about Yanis, right? If I told Zane about this, what do you think... Zane would do? He hates Yanis, will he let the baby live?"
Speaking of this, Myles held Bonnie's jaw, "And, Bonnie, what do you think the Lawrence family, especially Mrs. Lawrence, will do if they knew Yanis is pregnant with Zana's child?"
"She would force her to abort the baby."
Myles kissed her at the corner of her lips as a reward, "So, Bonnie, I will generously forgive you. I will forgive you for snapping at me the other day and also the words you said. Let's make peace."
Bonnie looked at him and pushed him away, "No!"
Myles's eyes dimmed, but soon they lit up again, "It doesn't matter. If you are still angry, we can wait until you are not angry anymore. I won't tell anyone about this."
Bonnie had wanted to swear at him, but looking at him so stubborn, she couldn't say the hurtful words she had said.
As she was lost in thought, Myles again reached out to hug her, "Bonnie, don't be angry with me."
Bonnie did not speak, but also did not push him away. She was silent for a long time and whispered, "You are the only one who knows that Yanis's pregnant. If you told anyone about it, I will not forgive you!"
Myles nodded, "I can do that if you let me hold you for a while."
Bonnie gnashed her teeth and pushed him away again, "No!"
Myles was stunned and his arms were in the midair. He withdrew his arms at last.
"Bonnie..."
"I'm going home if there's nothing else. I'm tired and want to sleep."
Then she walked into the apartment building.
Myles stood there with one hand in his pocket, watching Bonnie leave. He sighed.
Myles had seen through the weakness of Bonnie, she would always compromise when it came to Yanis.
And he felt somewhat sad, he was not as important as Yanis in her heart.
Old Cooke was the most important to Bonnie, Yanis, the second, he might not even make the third.
Thinking of this, Myles sighed, walked toward the car and picked up his phone to send a message to Bonnie. After he edited the message, he recalled that he had been blacklisted by Bonnie the other day.
He wouldn't change his phone number because the last four numbers were Bonnie's birthday, while Bonnie's were his birthday.
Finally, he had to give up.
When Bonnie got home, she did not see Yanis.
After a while of hesitation, Bonnie didn't call Yanis.
