Yanis looked at Bonnie, puzzled, "Did I do anything to you?"
"You were torturing me."
Ivan smiled. "She asked me to come save her."
Yanis finally realized it, "Ah, did I sleep for a long time?"
"You've been sleeping for an hour. Ivan held on for an hour. You have to invite him to dinner to make it up to him."
Yanis nodded, "Okay."
Then Yanis turned to look at Ivan, "Sorry, I have been really sleepy lately."
Yesterday, she fell asleep right next to Zane.
Ivan smiled. "Pregnant women are much sleepier."
Bonnie joked, "Yanis could fall asleep anywhere and at any time now."
Yanis couldn't help recalling yesterday and was a bit awkward, "You guys talk, I need to go to the ladies' room."
"Should I go with you?"
Yanis shook her head. "No."
After she left, Bonnie looked at Ivan, "Are you going to make a move?"
Ivan sipped his water and looked over at her, "Do you have any advice?"
Bonnie held her cheeks with her elbows on the table as she fixed her eyes on him, "Ivan, although I really like you and hope you two could be together..."
She paused and continued, "But that was before, not now."
After hearing Bonnie's words, Ivan raised his eyebrows, "Because Yanis is pregnant with Zane's child? Do you think I will mind it?"
Bonnie said frankly, "Everyone will mind such a thing, so... you know what I mean?"
Ivan was silent for a while, looked at Bonnie and said, "That's the kind of men you think I am?"
Bonnie was stunned, then shook her head, "No, you misunderstood. I mean, Yanis is pregnant now, and she's a divorced woman, even if you don't care about it, what about your family"
Ivan frowned and didn't answer.
"Ivan, relationships are not a matter of two people, but a matter of two families."
The Baxter family was also a prominent family, just like the Lawrence family. It was a big family with a lot of members.
Ivan, although was not the eldest son of Baxter family, he couldn't decide on his own marriage.
Even if Ivan was given the choice, he would have to choose a lady from a well-read family.
Yanis was divorced and now pregnant with someone's child. It was impossible for his family to take her in.
Ivan leaned back in his chair and listened to Bonnie's words and smiled. "I'll fix that."
"How are you going to fix it?"
"I will know by then," sighed Ivan. "Besides, she might not even give me the chance, it's still early."
Bonnie pouted, "I was just worried for my two best friends. I really wish you two can be together."
"Do you want us to be together that much?"
Bonnie nodded, and then looked at him, "What? You don't want it?"
"I do." Ivan admitted frankly, "It's my dream."
Bonnie was going to say something more when she saw Yanis come out, she had to change the topic, "Check what I sent you on your phone."
"What did you send me?" Ivan took out his phone and saw the photo sent by Bonnie, he smiled. "Thank you."
Bonnie arched her eyebrow, "You owe me a meal."
"No problem."
