Yanis was not surprised by Myles's words.
"What did she do?" Myles looked at Yanis and asked.
Yanis shook her head absentmindedly. "Nothing. Don't tell anyone about this, including Bonnie."
Myles said in surprise, "Including Bonnie?"
Yanis nodded. "At least not for now."
Myles was silent for a few seconds, and then said, "Okay, if she asks me about it, I'll tell her that you are looking for me for something else."
Yanis hummed, "Bonnie and Ivan are in the dining hall, you can go down first, and I'll make a phone call and join you later."
Myles nodded.
After Yanis left Ivan's room, she went directly to the stairway on the other side of the corridor.
She dialed the previous phone number of Neve.
The call was answered shortly on the other side of the line.
Neve's voice came from the phone, "Is that Miss Thompson?"
Without beating around the bush, Yanis said directly, "Yes. Miss Bennett, why did you send me that video?"
"What video?" asked Neve.
"I appreciate it if you can be frank," said Yanis.
Neve chuckled, "I thought it would take some time for you to contact me, but it happens so soon."
"Aren't you afraid that Zane will know it?" asked Yanis.
"Will you tell him?" Neve retorted. "No matter how dreadful your relationship with other members of your family and how badly they treat you, you shall not betray your brother Antonio. If Zane knows Antonio did it, he would never let him go."
"If Antonio really did something wrong, I will call the police first," said Yanis.
"What will happen after you call the police? The video of Anika being assaulted will be released in public. At that time, do you think it is good for Anika?" Neve said casually.
"Will your parents forgive you? You have to think about it thoroughly. If you do so, you will definitely ruin the future of both Antonio and Anika. Have you ever thought about it?" added Neve.
Yanis felt that Neve made it impossible for her to resolve the matter.
In other words, Neve made a trap to frame up Antonio and Anika.
All her evil schemes were aimed at Yanis.
"So, what is your intention, Miss Bennett?" said Yanis.
"You are so smart," said Neve.
"Please tell me directly," exclaimed Yanis.
"Stay away from Zane and it is better not to see him in the future," Neve said in a cold voice. "Only when you disappear from his world, Zane and I can have a happy future."
Yanis said, "We are already divorced, but I cannot guarantee that I may meet him one day, because Manches City is not big enough. And it is nearly impossible for me to leave this city forever."
"As long as you don't meet Zane by intention, it is not considered a violation of our agreement," said Neve.
Yanis took a deep breath. "What if I can't do this?"
"If so, let things happen naturally and take their courses, and finally ruin Anika's life. Anyway, she doesn't like me and I want to get rid of her," said Neve.
Yanis was silent for a long time and said, "Let me think about it."
"No problem, as long as you want," said Neve.
Yanis didn't speak any more and hung up the phone.
She never expected that Neve would be so insane.
Yanis went to the dining hall after calming herself down.
"What have you been doing? It's been so long?" Seeing Yanis approaching, Bonnie took a seat for her. "Hurry up, the pasta is going to be cold."
Yanis sat down beside Bonnie and said, "I made a phone call just now."
"Let's eat first," said Bonnie.
She didn't ask more questions in front of Myles and Ivan.
Not only Bonnie could see that Yanis looked frustrated, but Ivan noticed it as well.
After finishing breakfast, Ivan walked beside Yanis and inquired, "Yanis, are you okay?"
Yanis turned to look at her. "Huh?"
