After Zane let go of her, he took Yanis's hand naturally. "Let's go out first."
Yanis tried to pull her hand out of Zane's, but the man held her so tightly that she never had a chance to break free.
After getting out of the elevator, Zane called Albi. "Don't guard the exit."
As soon as Albi heard it over the phone, he knew that Zane had found her. "Okay, then I'll wait for you in the car, ok?"
Zane hummed and hung up the phone.
"Have you had lunch?" Zane put away his phone and looked at Yanis.
"I've eaten." Yanis's gaze fell on the hand held by Zane. "Mr. Lawrence, can you let me go first?"
"Ok. Will you run away?"
After hearing Zane's words, Yanis looked up at him. "Why should I run?"
"You promise me that you won't turn around and leave, and I will let you go."
Yanis took a deep breath. "Ok."
Zane stared at her for a few seconds before letting go of her.
The moment Zane let go of her hand, Yanis turned around and left.
Before she could take two steps, he stretched out his hand and dragged her back.
"Yanis! You lied to me!"
Yanis smiled. "If you don't let go of me, I'll shout for help!"
Zane hugged her in his arms. "You can shout."
Yanis was speechless."
The two of them remained in a stalemate for quite a while.
In the end, Yanis compromised first. "I really won't leave this time. Let's find a place to sit down and have a chat, ok?"
Zane hummed and let go of her.
Yanis tried to pull her hand out of Zane's several times, but failed.
In the end, she could only let him hold her hand.
Zane took Yanis directly to the top floor.
"What are you doing here?" Yanis saw it was the office area and couldn't help asking.
Without saying a word, Zane led Yanis into the innermost office and locked the door behind him.
Just as Yanis was about to speak, Zane turned around and hugged her again.
After all the hugs, Yanis's temper was worn out.
Yanis knew that struggling was useless, so she simply stood upright and let him hug her.
She didn't believe that he could hug her forever.
But in the end, Yanis underestimated him. She seemed never really understand him.
Yanis felt that she couldn't stand still anymore, and Zane didn't seem to let go of his hand.
"Zane, can you let me sit for a while?"
Hearing Yanis's words, Zane let go of his hands. He took Yanis to sit down on the sofa beside him. "What do you want to eat? I'll ask Albi to bring it."
Yanis shook her head. "I don't want to eat anything now."
"Would you like something to drink then?"
"I don't want anything to drink."
"Yanis."
