I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 379

Chapter 379: There Can’t Be Only One Person Keeping His Head Down All the Time

When Travis heard Bonnie's words, he glanced at Yanis naturally, and then said in a low voice, "You have someone in your heart, and he also has someone in his heart. Isn't that just equal? After getting married, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to get along with each other and have a new start?"
Bonnie looked at Travis in shock. "How does it work?"
"Why not?" Travis said gently, "I will contact him after breakfast."
Bonnie was dumbfounded and almost squeezed the bread in her hand. She finally took a bite. "No, I don't like him, and he doesn't like me either. There's no way it's going to end well."
Listening to Bonnie's words, Travis raised his eyes to glance at her, and then continued, "You can spend some time with him, and then we'll see."
"No!"
Bonnie directly put the bread in her hand on the table. "Grandpa, you can't do this!"
Travis didn't speak, just drank his juice.
"Grandfather!"
Travis looked up at her. "What's wrong then?"
"I don't like Iris, and Iris doesn't like me either. You're only making things worse for us, and it will also undermine your relationship with Mr. Duncan. Do you really want this?"
Travis was unmoved. "Didn't I say it? You can take it slow."
Bonnie stared at Travis for a long while, and when she was about to speak, Travis spoke again, "By the way, I heard Myles was sent to the hospital and almost ended up in the ICU. Why don't you go and see him first? Just tell him about you and Iris."
When Bonnie heard Travis's words, she got up. "How is he?"
Travis shook his head. "I don't know, it's quite serious."
Bonnie didn't speak, turned around, and walked outside.
She took the car keys from the entrance hall and was ready to go out.
Yanis just wanted to get up and follow. Travis stretched out his hand to stop Yanis, and said in a low voice, "Let her go. Sometimes it's appropriate to bow her head first. When two people are together, one can't keep bowing his head all the time. The other also has to learn to take the first move."
Hearing this, Yanis froze and looked at Travis. "Myles... Is he all right?"
"He drank some wine last night and almost had a stomach perforation. He's lying in the hospital."
Only then did Yanis feel relieved.
Yanis had breakfast with Travis at the Cooke family's mansion and chatted about paintings for a while.
At nine o'clock, Zane called.
Yanis greeted Travis and answered the phone.
"Have you had breakfast yet?"
Yanis responded yes and asked, "You are in the company?"
"I just finished the morning meeting and I'm going to pick you up, okay?"
Yanis took the phone from her ear and glanced at the time. "Are you not busy?"
"There is still time to pick you up."
Yanis hesitated for a few seconds. "Okay, send me a message when you get here."
Zane hummed and said he would arrive in about twenty minutes.
Yanis hung up the phone and went back to the study, where Travis was painting.
More than half of the drawing had been done, leaving only a few details.
Seeing Bonnie come back, Travis said without raising his head. "Practice more when you have time."
Yanis responded, "Okay."
After answering, Yanis stood aside for a while. "Mr. Cooke, Zane will come to pick me up later, and I'll go back first."
Travis hummed. "Are you two good now?"
"Yes."
The movement of Travis's hands stopped. "It's not easy to be together, cherish it."
After knowing what had happened, Travis's attitude towards Zane changed a lot.
Zane also brought gifts when he came.
It was the best tea, and someone brought it from another place.
Travis took a look, his eyes lit up, but the expression on his face was still very impassive. "Why is Mr. Lawrence having time to come over today?"
Zane was very calm. "I have never had the opportunity to visit you before, but today I just have time."
Travis raised his eyes and glanced at Zane. "If you have time in the future, you can come with Yanis."
Zane bowed. "Okay."
Travis waved his hands at the two. "Okay, go back. I'm still busy, I don't have time to host you."
Yanis smiled, pulled Zane, and said goodbye to Travis before leaving the Cooke family.
"It seems Mr Cooke didn't like me very much before." Zane held Yanis's hand and said as he walked out.
Yanis nodded upon hearing this. "You can say he hated you very much."
Zane turned his head to look at Yanis. "Is it because I treated you badly?"
Yanis asked him back, "Were you nice to me before?"
Zane didn't say a word. He grabbed Yanis's hand and put it on his lips, and kissed. "I will make up for you bit by bit in the future."
Zane's movements were too natural and sudden, which made Yanis nervous. "Somebody will see us."
Zane didn't change his face. "You are with me."
Yanis looked at his profile and suddenly felt that it would be good to live like this for the rest of her life.
Zane still had some things to deal with, so he took Yanis directly to the Lawrence Group.
It was not that Yanis had never been here before, but this time Zane took her in personally.
He even held her hand when he went in.
Here, Zane led Yanis into the office.
And in the chat group of the employees, it was stirred up. All the people were gossiping.
"My God! The CEO's wife is very pretty!"
"She looks very nice! They are a good match!"
"Who said before that the president's wife is not good-looking?"
"Check this."
"Look at this, I read it before, the president's wife is also very excellent! She has won international awards!"
After reading the news, everyone got excited.
"Nice!"
"Amazing!"
"..."
Albi stood in front of the bar in the tea room, looked at them gossiping, clicked his tongue twice, and then said, "What's the matter? You don't have to work? Are you here to gossip?"
As soon as these words came out, the chat group fell silent for an instant.
Albi looked at the group that had suddenly quieted down, and then said, "Is there any gossip you can't share with me? Am I not treating you guys well?"
Then the group got excited again.
In the office, Zane and Yanis were making out at this time.
Yanis was pushed against the door of the lounge, and her legs softened. "Zane! Don't move!"
Zane paused for a moment, then rested his chin on Yanis's shoulder, and said in a muffled voice, "Next time, don't spend the night outside. I didn't sleep well last night."
Yanis was almost hanging on Zane. "You slept alone before."
Zane rubbed against Yanis's neck. "It's different now."
"What's the difference, isn't it..."
Yanis didn't finish speaking.
After kissing her for a while, Zane let her go. "You should rest first. I'll take care of some paperwork, and we will go to the old mansion for dinner tonight."
Yanis blushed and nodded. "Okay."
