I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 394

Chapter 394 He Has No Choice

Hearing Zane's words, Yanis nodded, "Okay."
Zane looked at Ivan as he walked out with Yanis. "You guys wait here for a while, I'll let Albi come up."
Ivan was still in a daze. After hearing Zane's words, he nodded, sat down in the chair again, and whispered, "Okay."
After Zane left with Yanis, Ivan stretched out his hand to take the water glass on the table, ome and drank s cold water. He rubbed his eyebrows, grabbed a cigarette from the table and put it in his mouth, then found a lighter and lit it.
"Aren't you drunk?" asked Teddy.
He came out of the bathroom, looked at Ivan smoking in a chair, and asked in a low voice.
Ivan glanced at Teddy when he heard the sound, "Are you drunk?"
Teddy stepped forward and sat down in the seat next to Ivan. He also took a cigarette from the table and lit it for himself. "I'm not too drunk, but I can't drive."
Ivan dusted off the cigarette ash and said, "Wait... Zane asked his assistant to send us back."
Teddy nodded and looked at Mila who was leaning motionlessly on the table. "Send Ms. Hope back first, please."
Ivan glanced at Mila and then hummed.
Albi came over soon after Zane and Yanis left.
"Mr. Baxter."
Albi greeted Ivan as soon as he entered the room.
Hearing Albi's voice, Ivan put the cigarette into the ashtray and said, "Thank you so much for coming."
"No trouble," said Albi, stepping forward to help Ivan.
Ivan waved his hand at Albi. "No, thanks, I can walk on my own."
Hearing that, Albi withdrew his hand.
Then he looked at Teddy, who was leaning against the chair.
Teddy asked directly, "Give me a hand."
Albi stepped forward and pulled Teddy off the chair.
After Teddy had stabilized his body, he let go of Albi and said, "Help Ivan and Mila, please."
Albi glanced at Ivan and asked Teddy, "Can you go by yourself?"
Teddy waved his hand and said, "Yes. I didn't drink much, but I can not help others now, because I might bring him down with me."
Albi nodded and turned to Ivan and Mila.
Although Ivan and Teddy both drank a lot, they could still walk.
When Ivan went downstairs to pay, the front desk told him that someone had paid for it.
Albi said promptly, "Mrs. Lawrence paid the bill."
After hearing Albi's words, Ivan turned to look at Albi but said nothing, then stuffed the phone into his pocket.
As Ivan walked out of Harborview Restaurant, he handed Albi the car keys. "Turn right and walk a few steps inside, then you can see my car."
Albi took Ivan's key and said, "I'll find the car and come back soon."
Ivan hummed and reached out to support Mila.
After Albi left, Teddy took a step forward. "I won't go with you, otherwise, it would be a long way. I will order a car from Uber."
Ivan frowned and said, "Really?"
Teddy took out his cell phone from his pocket and said, "I am calling the car. It is easy to call the car now, take it easy."
Ivan hummed, "Give me a message when you get home."
Teddy called a car on Uber while answering Ivan, "Come on, I'm an adult, can I lose myself?"
Ivan glanced at him speechlessly.
The car ordered by Teddy was coming. Teddy said, "All right, I'll text you when I get home."
Ivan hummed. When he was about to say something, Mila suddenly grabbed his arm and said, "Ivan, I think..."
Having said that, Mila paused, then said after a few seconds, "I want to go to the bathroom."
Teddy said, "Go inside and find a waitress to take her in, so she won't fall."
Ivan hummed, "Okay, please wait here for Albi to come."
Teddy responded, "Okay."
Ivan supported Mila to re-enter Harborview Restaurant and asked the waitress to take Mila to the bathroom.
Mila didn't vomit. She washed her face and got sober a little bit.
"Excuse me, can you get me a bottle of water?" Mila leaned against the wall and looked at the waitress who followed her in.
The waitress looked at her worriedly and said, "I'll help you out first, and then I will get the water."
Mila smiled, "It's okay, I can stand by myself, and I'm clear-headed now."
The waitress hesitated for a few seconds and then said, "Okay, please wait here for me for a while, and I'll get the water."
Mila nodded. After watching the waiter leave, Mila took her mobile phone out of her pocket.
She drank too much and felt dizzy when she looked at the phone.
There were several missed calls, all from home.
Mila frowned and called back directly.
After the call was made, it was answered quickly. On the phone, Mila's mother Sue asked, "Mila, when are you going back home?"
Mila responded, " I'll be back in a while, you and Daddy can go to bed first."
"Have you been drinking?" asked her mother.
Mila answered honestly and then remained silent for a few seconds. Suddenly, she asked in a very serious tone, "Mom, am I really going any further to Ivan? He... must be feeling very sad."
Mila's mother sighed on the other side of the phone, "Don't blame yourself. If it were not you, Ivan's mother would arrange other girls for him, he has no choice."
Mila said, "I see, you should go to bed early."
"Be careful, how about I pick you up?" asked Mila's mother.
"No, Ivan will send me back," said Mila.
"Madam, here is the water for you." The waitress took a bottle of water and handed it to Mila.
Mila reached out to get the water and thanked the witness. Then she said to her mother, "Okay, I'll be back in a while."
After hanging up the phone, Mila stuffed the phone into her pocket, unscrewed the water bottle, drank a couple of sips, then looked at the waitress standing aside and said, "Thank you so much for your help. I am feeling much better now."
"I'd better help you out," the waitress said.
She was so persistent that Mila did not refuse.
In fact, after washing her face just now, Mia felt a little more comfortable. She only felt a little dizzy at the time.
When Mila went out, Ivan was sitting in the lobby and smoking.
"Thanks for your help," Mila said to the waitress.
Seeing Ivan sitting there, the waitress nodded and left.
Mila stood on the spot and stared at Ivan for a while, then walked towards Ivan.
When Ivan felt someone approaching, he took a look.
Seeing that the person standing in front of him was Mila, Ivan extinguished the cigarette and asked, "How are you feeling now?"
Mila replied, "Much better."
Ivan stood up and supported Mila. "Let's go."
