Freddy hesitated, looking at the sleeping Bonnie, before finally responding, "I won't go back. Old Mr. Cooke will worry."
"Then I'll have Zane take you back," Yanis suggested.
Freddy declined, "No need, I'll take a cab. There are cars outside the hospital."
Zane stood up, "I'll drive you back. I have some things to take care of anyway."
After speaking, Zane glanced at Yanis, "I'll be back in a bit."
Yanis nodded in agreement, not questioning Zane's matters.
After Zane left, Yanis didn't wake Bonnie up. She placed the packed food aside and slowly left the hospital room. Due to her leg injury, Yanis walked slowly.
She asked the reception desk for directions and headed straight to the obstetrics department.
At this hour, the doctors hadn't finished work yet.
When Yanis entered, there were still people inside the consultation room. Yanis waited outside until the person came out before going in.
"Hello, I have a question. If anesthesia was administered before knowing about the pregnancy, can the baby still be kept?" Yanis inquired.
The doctor listened to Yanis and asked, "Was it local anesthesia?"
"It should be local anesthesia, in the shoulder area," Yanis explained Bonnie's situation truthfully to the doctor.
"In this situation, the possibility of an impact cannot be ruled out. However, if it was local anesthesia, it depends on the dosage used and the specific anesthesia drug. In the case of local anesthesia, if the amount used was not significant, it is possible to continue the pregnancy as the effects are minimal compared to other methods." The doctor explained the pros and cons to Yanis in detail.
After listening to the doctor, Yanis nodded, "Can we do some tests later tonight then?"
"No problem, but did the anesthesia take place in our hospital?" the doctor inquired.
"Yes, it was done in this hospital. Can you find out which anesthesia drug was used?" Yanis asked.
The doctor nodded, "Yes, I'll go and ask the surgical department about the dosage and the drug used. We'll perform a routine check-up once she wakes up, and regular examinations will be necessary in the future to avoid any unforeseen issues. However, local anesthesia has minimal impact, so there's no need to worry excessively."
Yanis thanked the doctor and left the obstetrics department, returning to the hospital room.
When Yanis arrived, Bonnie had already woken up. Seeing Yanis enter, Bonnie asked, "You still have a wound on your leg. Where did you go alone?"
Yanis approached and sat on the chair by the bed, "I was just wandering around. Why don't you get some more sleep?"
Bonnie shifted her body, "It hurts a bit. I can't sleep."
Yanis looked at Bonnie and suggested, "Should I help you..."
She paused mid-sentence, her tone changing, "Never mind, endure it for now. It might be the aftereffects of the anesthesia. It might get better after a while."
Bonnie agreed, "Okay. How's your leg injury? Don't keep running around. You might reopen the wound and leave a scar."
