Zane's phone beeped twice, and Albi immediately sent over the photos of the car.
Zane was also taken aback when he saw the photos. The front headlights were completely smashed, and the front bumper was heavily dented, as if a major accident had occurred.
After looking at the photos, Zane handed his phone to Allan. "No recollection?"
Allan's gaze fell on Zane's phone screen, and he furrowed his brow. "Damn! It was such a hard collision?"
Mitch, upon hearing Allan's words, also glanced ahead and didn't know what to say when she saw the photos on the phone.
She regretted kicking Allan just now.
"You don't even remember if you crashed your own car?" Mitch asked Allan.
Allan rubbed his temple with his hand. "I really don't remember at all. At that time, I was only focused on finding Reed as quickly as possible. I have no recollection of whether there was a collision or not. I don't even know where my car was parked."
After listening to Allan's words, Mitch felt speechless. "Then... do you want to go upstairs and rest for a while until you're completely sober before leaving?"
Allan looked surprised when he heard Mitch's suggestion. "Me? Go upstairs?"
Mitch gave Allan a sarcastic look. "You better just stay here."
After saying that, Mitch turned to Zane. "Mr. Lawrence, I'll go to the hospital to check on my mom first. I'll go to the company later today. I already told Albi."
Zane replied, "Don't go to the company today. Go to the hospital and take care of your mom. Reed has Yanis here, so nothing will happen."
Mitch nodded and, before leaving, looked at Allan. "You can use my room to rest for a while. When you're sober, get lost!"
Allan laughed. "After all, I'm older than you. Why are you so impolite?"
Mitch ignored Allan, said goodbye to Zane, and then walked away.
After Mitch left, Zane looked at Allan. "Not going upstairs?"
Allan smiled. "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I? Let's go!"
Saying that, Allan turned around and headed inside.
Zane followed a step behind Allan and asked, "Will those people come back in the future?"
After hearing Zane's question, Allan slowed his pace. "Do you believe what I said earlier?"
"What?" Zane asked.
"I said as long as I'm with them, they won't come back," Allan replied.
"I don't believe it."
Allan laughed. "There aren't many good people who can hang around with Nealon. Even if Sameer had been wholeheartedly dedicated to them, they wouldn't appreciate it. Now that Nealon is inside, they have no way out. When they don't have money, they always blame others for their problems."
"Blame Sameer?"
"Why not? If Sameer hadn't helped Yanis back then, do you think he would be dead? If he hadn't helped Yanis, the subsequent events wouldn't have happened, and they wouldn't have been caught by the police. They put all the blame on the Mi family."
"Then why did you say that earlier?"
"Mitch's personality is really different from Sameer's. She's a bit impulsive. If I had told her the truth, how do you think she would react?"
Allan paused for a few seconds. "They got the money this time, so they can leave. But what about next time? They'll want more, and it will be like an endless pit that can never be filled."
"The policewon't intervene?"
"Reporting this kind of thing to the police will only make them crazier. Mia and the others are still young. If they really target them, I won't be able to protect them," Allan leaned against the elevator wall. "If they really harm Mia and the others and then get caught, is that kind of ending meaningful?"
