Mia spoke and laughed, "Forgot to tell you, I'm out."
"Long time no see, Myles," she said.
Long time no see, yet worlds apart.
Mia stood in front of Myles' tombstone and spoke for a long time, sharing many things.
She talked about the difficulties she faced during her time inside and the endless longing she felt for Myles.
After she finished saying what she wanted to say, the tears on her face had dried up.
Mia stood up and gently caressed Myles' photo on the tombstone. "Myles, wait for me. I'll make sure Bonnie comes down to accompany you soon. Since you love her so much, you can be together forever."
After saying these words, Mia turned and left the cemetery.
...
Evening came.
Bonnie arrived at the store on time and saw Yanis diligently drawing. She asked in a low voice, "Is this a new project for a client? Or are you refreshing your portfolio?"
Yanis completed the final stroke and replied, "I'm planning to refresh my portfolio. I want to put away the previous ones."
"Speaking of which, your collaboration with Ivan should be ending soon, right? Are you going to continue working with the Baxter family? After all, Ivan is no longer in the country," Bonnie asked, looking at Yanis.
Yanis paused for a few seconds and said, "I haven't really thought about it. Let's maintain the status quo for now."
Bonnie was about to say something, but she swallowed her words. Sometimes, without experiencing something firsthand, it's impossible to truly understand the other person's perspective. After all, there's no substitute for personal experience.
So Bonnie held back her intentions to persuade Yanis.
"It's fine this way, each of us living our own lives," Yanis said with agreement.
"Yeah, it's fine," Bonnie echoed.
After Yanis finished packing up, Zane arrived.
Bonnie glanced at Zane entering through the door and said, "You two go ahead. I'll go pick up Haider. His car got scratched this morning, and he took it to the dealership. I should be able to catch up with you guys when I pick him up."
Yanis nodded. "Okay."
"Mr. Lawrence, you and Yanis go ahead. I'll go pick someone up first," Bonnie said as she passed by Zane.
Zane responded, "Alright."
Zane stepped forward and offered, "Still haven't finished packing? Need help?"
"No, it'll be done soon," Yanis said, glancing up at Zane's face. "Did you clear your schedule for tonight?"
Zane replied, "Of course. We should go visit the Old Mr. Cooke officially, as your husband."
Yanis chuckled at Zane's words. "Alright, when we go, do you want me to formally introduce my Mr. Lawrence?"
Zane nodded decisively. "Yes."
"Alright."
Yanis packed up their things and bid farewell to Linda before leaving for Cooke Residence directly.
Since it was rush hour, it took Yanis and Zane more than half an hour to reach Cooke Residence.
When they arrived, Bonnie and Haider were already there.
"Did you get caught in traffic?" Bonnie asked as they entered.
"Yeah, it was a bit congested," Yanis replied.
