As they were getting closer to the front of the line, Yanis moved back a few people and let a few more people go ahead.
Yanis thought Bonnie couldn't stop choosing items, so she waited in the same spot for five to six minutes. However, Bonnie still didn't show up.
Unable to find Bonnie, Yanis left the purchased items by the shelf and turned around to look for her.
Yanis walked around several shelves in the snack section but couldn't spot Bonnie anywhere.
The supermarket was packed with people at this time, and it seemed impossible to find a familiar figure in the crowd.
"Excuse me, have you seen a pregnant woman wearing a black dress?" Yanis asked a woman who was selecting snacks on the shelf.
The woman looked up and replied, "There was no one here when I came."
Yanis's expression changed slightly upon hearing this and thanked the woman before approaching a store assistant standing by the shelves. However, no one had seen Bonnie.
Yanis searched almost every area of the vast supermarket but couldn't find Bonnie's whereabouts.
In the end, Yanis had no choice but to call Zane.
After a few rings, Zane answered the phone.
Without waiting for Zane to speak, Yanis immediately said, "Zane, Bonnie and I were shopping at the supermarket, but I can't find her now."
Upon hearing Yanis's voice, Zane replied in a low voice, "Which supermarket are you in? Give me the location, I'll come over."
Zane stood up while speaking, exchanging a glance with Iris, then walked towards the exit.
Seeing Zane leaving, Iris also stood up and followed him out of the office.
Zane comforted Yanis softly and after reassuring her, he turned to Iris. "You go back to work. I'll go and check on Yanis."
After hearing Zane's words, Iris asked, "Can I help with anything?"
Zane replied, "Not for now. I'll let you know if I need anything."
Iris nodded. "Then call me if anything comes up."
Zane acknowledged and stepped into the elevator as it opened.
Iris stood at the elevator entrance, watching Zane enter before turning back to the office.
After leaving Duncan Group, Zane immediately called Haider.
It took a second attempt before Haider answered the call.
Zane went straight to the point, "Bonnie and Yanis went shopping at the supermarket, but they can't find Bonnie now."
Haider, who was also busy, raised his voice upon hearing Zane's words. "What do you mean they can't find her?"
Zane briskly walked toward his parked car while talking to Haider. "I saw Mia at the company today."
Haider paused for a moment upon hearing Zane's words, then quickly reacted. "Why would Mia go to your company?"
Zane briefly explained the situation to Haider.
After hearing Zane's account, Haider said in a deep voice, "I understand. I'll come over now."
