After hearing Dr. Watson's words, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Dr. Watson finished explaining Bonnie's condition and looked at Yanis standing nearby. He whispered, "Miss Thompson, you can rest assured now."
Yanis nodded. "Thank you for your hard work, Dr. Watson."
Dr. Watson waved his hand. "I have some other matters to attend to. You can wait here for a while. In half an hour, a nurse will take you to see the baby first. Miss Cooke might take a bit longer."
Yanis responded with an "okay."
After Dr. Watson left, Yanis took a deep breath and turned to Travis, who also seemed relieved. "Teacher, you should go back first. Haider, Zane, and I will take care of things here."
Travis had been standing here the whole time, only sitting down briefly. Yanis was worried that Travis couldn't handle it physically.
Travis looked at Yanis upon hearing his words and said softly, "It's alright, let's wait a little longer."
Freddy looked at Travis and whispered, "Dad, you should sit here for a while. Standing for so long is too tiring. The doctors have already confirmed that both mother and child are safe. There won't be any problems."
Travis glanced in the direction of the ICU before finally sitting down on the chair with the support of Freddy and Yanis.
"Teacher, let me get you a glass of water," Yanis said softly after helping Travis sit down.
Travis nodded. "Alright."
Yanis nodded back at Freddy and then turned and walked towards the water dispenser.
At the window in the corridor, Zane stood side by side with Haider.
When Haider saw Yanis approaching, he looked up and asked, "How's the Old Mr. Cooke? Doesn't he want to go back?"
Yanis nodded. "He wants to wait a little longer."
Haider checked the time and said, "Let him wait a while longer."
Bonnie had grown up under Travis's care, and now that she hadn't awakened yet, Travis would be uneasy even if he went back. It was better to wait a little longer to give him some peace of mind.
"I'll get them some water. You two stay here and watch," Haider said. "You stay with Mr. Lawrence, and I'll get the water."
After speaking, Haider turned and walked towards the water dispenser.
Yanis didn't argue with Haider and stood in place, watching Haider leave. Then he turned to Zane and asked softly, "What happened with Mia?"
"We need Haider to go back for questioning. After the Read family saw Mia's body and learned about the situation from the police, they all believed that Haider pushed her down from the rooftop," Zane explained.
Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis furrowed his brow. "But she clearly jumped on her own!"
Zane whispered, "The police will naturally investigate and find out."
Yanis looked at Zane. "If they can't find direct evidence, will Haider be charged with intentional murder?"
"It won't come to that," Zane said softly. "There's a surveillance camera installed on the rooftop of Gotrend Entertainment. Haider has already sent someone to retrieve the footage. We should have results soon."
The rooftop was equipped with surveillance because some directors in Gotrend Entertainment believed that the company's artists might engage in inappropriate behavior there. They intentionally made it public that there were cameras throughout the company, hoping that artists would be cautious and refrain from any unnecessary actions.
