After chatting with Selena, Sandy asked Bonnie for Lane's contact information and gave it to Selena. "He's a friend of my sister, a well-known lawyer in the legal world. You can contact him in advance for advice; he's quite reputable."
Selena saved the number and asked, "What's his name? I heard there's a powerful lawyer in the legal world named Phillips, but I don't know his full name."
"That's a coincidence; it might be the same person," Sandy replied.
"What's his name then?"
"Lane."
Upon hearing the name, Selena raised an eyebrow, "That's quite a coincidence; it's him indeed."
Sandy smiled, "You can contact him first."
Glancing at the time, Sandy continued, "I have a press conference in a while, so I can't talk much now."
Selena stood up promptly, "I'll go back too. After your press conference, I'll post an article to support you."
"Selena, you don't have to do this for me. My situation doesn't affect me much. Although I'm not as popular as before, you know, in this industry, few people can remain famous forever. There will always be envy, and unexpected things will happen," Sandy said.
With a pause, Sandy continued, "Besides, I'm pregnant now. I might retire from the entertainment industry soon. Your future is promising, so you shouldn't get involved in my matters. I understand your intentions."
While they were talking, the door to the lounge was pushed open.
Jones entered and was surprised to see Selena inside. "Selena?"
Selena nodded, "Jones, long time no see."
Jones approached Selena and scrutinized her, "You've got some nerve coming to Gotrend Entertainment at this time. Are you reminiscing about when you and Sandy used to trend together?"
Selena chuckled, "Jones, don't worry. If Gotrend Entertainment doesn't leak the information, no one will know I'm here."
Jones looked at Sandy, who nodded, "Jones, the press conference is about to start. You can escort Selena out. I'll tidy up and join you later."
Jones didn't say much and just nodded, "Alright, I'll wait for you there."
Jones turned to Selena, "Let's go, I'll walk you out."
As soon as Selena left, Sandy's phone rang.
Seeing the caller ID, Sandy answered, "Brandon."
"How's it going? Is the press conference starting?" Brandon's voice came through the phone.
Sandy put the phone on speaker while touching up her makeup, "It's about to start. Why are you calling at this time?"
"I'm a little worried about you, so I called to check on the situation," Brandon said.
"Don't worry; I'm fine. The press conference will be over in about half an hour. Will you come to pick me up then?" Sandy asked.
"Sure, I'll wait for you at the entrance of Gotrend Entertainment," Brandon replied.
Sandy hesitated, "Don't wait at the entrance. Find a place across the street to wait; there will be reporters everywhere later."
"Alright, take care, and call me if you need anything," Brandon said.
