I got married without you (James and Amelia) novel Chapter 118

When James heard her gentle voice, his face darkened.
Seeing his expression change, Amelia suddenly didn’t dare to speak again.
She sniffed carefully. In addition to the faint fragrance in the car, there was also the smell of alcohol.
It was not very strong, but it was sure that he had drunk.
No wonder he took the initiative to come
to her. It turned out that he was drunk.
Amelia sighed. “James still drives after drinking. Isn’t he afraid of being caught?” she thought.
While she was lost in her thoughts, James suddenly crushed the cigarette and looked up at her.
“Did you sleep with Jackson last night?”
When he asked this question, the corners of his scarlet eyes were filled with disdain.
Amelia stared into his eyes, trying to find something else in them, but unfortunately, there was nothing.
She suddenly felt that it was a little ridi culous. “Mr. Evans, you came to me and brought me to such a place just to ask this kind of question?”
He stared at her face and said
indifferently, “Answer me.”
It was so tiring to be misunderstood repeatedly. Amelia was so tired that she didn’t want to talk.
Seeing that she was silent, he gradually furrowed his brows.
He lifted his slender fingers, pinched her chin with one hand, and said flatly, “Speak!”
His tone and actions were not soft, and
there was a sense of coercion.
Amelia took a deep breath, suppressed the pain in her heart, and replied indifferently, “Would you believe me if I said that I didn’t sleep with Jackson?”
He sneered, “You stayed in his presidential suite for one night and didn’t come out until the next evening. Do you think I’ll believe you?”
She swallowed her words and said, “Mr. Evans, since you think I slept with him, why do you have to ask?”
He tightened his grip on her chin and asked, “Did you sleep with him?”
She lowered her gaze and said, “Yes.”
His expression froze for a moment, and his amorous eyes were full of chill.
“Why should you sleep with him?”
“Because he is handsome and rich, which aligns with my standards of marrying into a rich and powerful family.”
He snorted. “That’s what you said before.”
She didn’t understand what he meant and asked in a daze, “What?”
He indifferently said, “You lied to me like this last time, as for Kevin’s things, I’ve investigated you and Kevin, but he didn’t touch you. Why did you lie to me? And how dare you lie again?”
“How could he investigate me?” she wondered.
This was unbelievable to her.
