I Love You, Miss Genius (Bonnie Shepard and Ivor Knight) novel Chapter 1352

Billy felt like a fool. After all, he had trusted “Barrett” and even planned to make him second-in-command. Billy wished he could travel back in time and slap himself for having too much faith in Barrett. The former regretted not being able to see through the disguise.

Billy glared at Bonnie, wishing to kill her. Meanwhile, the latter looked calm and unintimidated. Instead, she was passive-aggressive. “Again, I’m grateful for everything you did for me. I’ll repay your kindness to avoid looking ungrateful.

“I’ll take over your organization and relieve you of your burdens. You’ll have a much easier life from now on. You no longer have to work so hard.”

Bonnie said that to crush Billy’s spirit, knowing his organization was what meant most to him. The latter was devastated as she kept hitting him where it hurt. He felt like he would throw up at any moment, stammering, “Y-You little—”

Billy pointed at her tremblingly. He stuttered but could not speak coherently.

“Relax, Billy.” Bonnie smiled and crossed her arms. She looked pure and harmless, but Billy saw her as an evil wolf in sheep’s clothing. He even suspected Bonnie had more to say. He looked at her vigilantly and asked, “Wh-what do you mean?”
