Bonnie was using psychological tactics.

"Who's afraid? I—"

"Since you're not afraid, then open the door."

Bonnie's words almost choked Elsa.

"Alright, alright. Elsa, stop messing around. Whether this lady knows Jim or not, her intentions are good. She came all this way to wish Jim's grandparents a happy birthday."

Kramer opened the car door for Bonnie and let her in.

"Hmph!" Elsa turned her head away in anger. "If Jim gets angry later, let's see how you handle it."

"Jim and I have grown up together. We’re like brothers. How could he possibly get angry?"

"Fine! You're siding with her! You value a girl over your sister!"

Jim's house was in the center of the county town. The town was small, and Bonnie quickly arrived at the hotel where the birthday banquet was held.

Elsa couldn't wait to rush into the hotel as soon as she exited the car. Upon seeing Jim, she immediately turned into a fangirl.

"Jim, I'm here!"

"Oh, Elsa, come inside. Where's your brother?" Jim asked.

"He's parking outside." Elsa's face showed apparent displeasure when she mentioned her brother.

"What's wrong with you? Did you fight with your brother?"

"He's not my brother! He was seduced by a witch halfway through his journey. He listened to everything that witch said and even helped her argue with me."

Before he could figure it out, Jim was already in front of him.

"Jim—"

Jim's urgent voice cut him off. "Why are you here?"

Bonnie smiled. "It's your grandparents' birthday. Wouldn't it be rude of me not to come?"

Jim was deeply moved. "But it's dangerous for you to come like this!"

"It's okay. I've been safe all the way."

Suddenly, Jim remembered something and looked behind her abruptly.

"Where's Keenan? Where is he? Don't tell me you came alone!"
