I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 105

Chapter 105 Embarrassment

Benjamin and Harper maintained a half-hug posture, so they could see the look in each other's eyes.

Benjamin squinted and looked at her, a little angry but also amused. A smile appeared on his gloomy, handsome face. "So you think I'm deliberately covering for her?"

"Benjamin, I can't think of any other possibility besides this. After all, Lauren is the most important to you."

Benjamin sneered and stared at Harper calmly. His handsome face was expressionless, and he had a stern look in his eyes. He released her jaw and let go of her.

The two of them kept a fist distance apart. He said in a low voice, "Harper, to find trouble with me, you've tried every means to accuse me. Good for you."

Then, he went downstairs with strides.

Harper stood still, his words still lingering in her ears.

She thought, "What does he mean?

Did I say anything wrong?"

Harper pressed her lips slightly and then changed clothes.

When she came downstairs, Benjamin was already sitting in the car. She opened the passenger door and got in. They never talked until they arrived at the Martin Manor.

On the way there, Benjamin called his parents and said he and Harper would come back for dinner. Paul was in a good mood and shared the good news with Gordon. "Benjamin might have become enlightened. Harper deserves all the credit."

Gordon smiled, "You dote on Harper too much. Benjamin will be jealous if he knows."

"He wouldn't dare," Paul said, "If we don't treat Harper well, who else can be nice to her?"
