Chapter 210 Marital Rights
Harper didn't go upstairs but decided not to look for him either. Instead, she dialed Benjamin's number.
With her lips lightly pursed, she waited for the call to connect and then asked softly, "Are you at home?"
"Is there a problem?" Benjamin's husky voice came.
Harper paused briefly, then said calmly, "Have you gone to bed? I'm at Pineview Villa right now. If you're still awake, maybe we can talk?"
"Talk about what? Divorce? It's just a divorce, Harper. Do you really need to talk about it in the middle of the night?" Benjamin asked coldly, his voice full of displeasure and anger.
Harper was taken aback. She didn't understand why Benjamin was suddenly angry.
She pursed her lips tightly and explained in a low voice, "I wanted to ask you a couple of things about Larry."
"So you come over in the middle of the night just to talk about another man?" Benjamin's voice was deep and rough, his words dripping with icy sarcasm and disdain.
Harper opened her mouth somewhat helplessly, but before she could say anything else, she heard the sound of a door opening. The next second, she saw his tall figure walking in.
Their eyes met, and Benjamin was the first to hang up the call. He then walked towards Harper with deliberate slowness, towering over her, and asked, "What about Larry did you want to talk about?"
Harper pursed her lips, turning away to avoid his gaze. She whispered, "Annie is gone missing. I suspect Larry might have taken her. Could you please ask Larry about it?"
His thin lips held a faint smile, his eyes piercing as he stared at her with a teasing sneer. "Harper, do I look like someone easy to talk into doing favors?"
Harper frowned.
