Chapter 54 How Can You Be So Partial?

She paused for a moment, then responded, "Our divorce won't bring any risks to the Martin Group."

"So you think divorce is more important than me being in a car accident and almost dying? I'm still lying here and can't even get out of bed, and you're so anxious to file for divorce with me? Are you worried that my feet will become disabled and get you into trouble?"

Harper was confused.

What was he talking about?

How could he confuse right and wrong?

She wanted to explain, but Benjamin continued, "You're unhappy because my car accident was related to Lauren, right? Harper, you are jealous."

His last sentence was not a question, but a statement.

Harper blinked gently and looked at him.

After a long time, she said, "If I am jealous, how are you going to explain to me?"

Benjamin asked lightly, "Are you in love with me?"

"What do you think?" She pretended to be calm.

"Since you don't love me, why are you so angry? Aren't you jealous?"

He seemed to be sure that Harper was jealous, but she just refused to admit it.

Harper just smiled, "If the person lying here today was me, would you be angry? Your wife had to go out in the heavy rain for other men and ended up in a car accident and was hospitalized. If you were me, would you accept it?'

Benjamin's face immediately changed as he stared at her coldly.

He didn't continue to talk about this topic. After being silent for half a minute, he said lightly, "I feel uncomfortable all over and want to take a bath."

Harper paused for a moment and said, "Right now?"

"Yes, now."

She said, "Then I'll ask the nurse to come over and help you."

"Ask the nurse to help me?"

"There are so many injuries on your body. I will hurt you. The nurse is a professional and won't hurt you."

After she finished speaking, she was about to go out and call the nurse, but Benjamin immediately called out to her.

He said, "No nurse."

Harper didn't say anything and just looked at him.

He added, "You help me."

She said, "Don't be stubborn, okay? You can't even stand right now. It's inconvenient for you to take a shower. If you accidentally fall, you'll aggravate your injury."

"Do you dislike the way I look now?" He stared at her with slightly narrowed eyes.

Harper was also stunned. She didn't say anything. Why did he think like this?

She paused before saying, "I don't dislike you. I'm just afraid of hurting you and making you fall. If you want to bathe, I can ask the nurse to help and let Larry come back later to help you."

"No." He refused quickly.

He said, "We are husband and wife, why should I find someone else?"

She was helpless and really didn't know what to do.

But Benjamin insisted.

She wanted to say something more, but Benjamin said tepidly, "If you don't want to help me, forget it. I'm living in the hospital now, so I won't hinder or affect you in any way. If you want to visit me, you can stay for a while. If you prefer not to come, you can stay away all day and night. I can't even stand up right now. I can't do anything to you."

Harper was speechless.

She sighed, "It's not that I won't help you. I'm going to get the water, don't bathe, I'll wipe your body."
