The two left the company, got into Colbert's car, and went out.
"What do you want to eat?" Colbert asked.
Eudora thought for a while and said very flatteringly, "You are my benefactor now, so let me treat you. Let's have a simple meal. Since you're getting married tomorrow, go back and rest early."
"What do you think about me marrying her?"
Colbert drove the car, hesitated for a while, and then asked out of nowhere.
Eudora sat on the passenger seat and snorted softly. "What does it matter to me that you two get married? As long as you control your woman, I don't have any issues."
A bitch and a scumbag, they were a perfect match.
Hearing her answer, Colbert thought it was unexpected but reasonable.
There was a flash of disappointment on Colbert's face.
He was silent for a long time before he slowly said, "What are your plans for the future? Have you ever thought about leaving Kenison City?"
"Of course... Never mind, I'm not going to leave."
Originally, Eudora really wanted to leave Kenison City and never see the Baldwin family again.
However, now that she acquired a wedding company and benefitted from it, she wanted to keep it in business.
Colbert's wedding tomorrow was also an opportunity for her to promote and publicize her company, which would attract a lot of business.
The good days were coming; why would she want to leave?
Alva once saved his life and now carried his child. Plus, his grandmother suffering from Alzheimer's wanted a grandson.
All these things meant that Colbert was not allowed to withdraw from the engagement.
This was his responsibility, his promise. He had to fulfill it.
Once he weighed the pros and cons, there were bound to be both gains and losses.
However, did he have a choice?
No.
Born in the powerful Steele family, he had to bear the responsibilities.
