Ansel knew what was going on after Mildred told him the whole story.

With a sore nose, Ansel looked at Eudora distressedly, took her hand with his big rough palm, and looked at her face carefully. "I am sorry I became a burden to you. You are so embarrassed now because of me."

Eudora burst into tears out of joy, sitting on the edge of the bed and hugging Ansel. "Dad, it doesn't matter since you woke up. It's my responsibility as your daughter. I dress up so ugly for the sake of my work."

Suddenly, she thought of something and asked Mildred, "Mom, has the doctor checked my dad?"

"Oh, by the way, we have to thank your friend. It was he who contacted the top-notch experts at home to treat your dad. You must thank your friend."

Mildred held Eudora's hand. "Dear, how do you know so many rich friends? I have thought this hospital belonged to the Baldwin family."
