Colbert raised his eyebrows and said casually, "A member of the Steele family is doomed to undergo some setbacks. Since Eudora is your god-granddaughter, she should be able to handle this matter."
"You..." Belinda sighed and asked again, "Do you mean you want her to dispose of this matter herself?"
"Yes."
After thinking over his words, Belinda nodded. "What you said makes some sense. Okay, you can follow your idea, and I won't interfere anymore."
"Thanks, Grandma," Colbert said.
Then Belinda hung up the phone.
As the situation kept deteriorating, Eudora received a call from her parents at night.
Seeing the phone call from Mildred, her adoptive mother, she felt grieved. "Mom?"
"Eudora, where are you now? Are you all right?"
Mildred asked worriedly, afraid that Eudora would be wronged.
"Mom, I'm fine."
Eudora didn't want her adoptive mother to worry about her.
