Eudora put down her phone and turned to look at Wendy, frowning. "This is my first time to share a bed with another woman after graduation."
She joked while thinking Wendy was a nice friend who stood by her when she was in need.
Such a girl could become a friend indeed and was worthy of protection.
As for Derek, she still couldn't relax vigilance.
"Humph! You are the first woman to sleep on my bed, and you should feel honored," Wendy smiled.
"Yeah, it's my honor."
Eudora was amused by her.
Then they lay down and chatted.
...
At the same time, Chasel's mobile phone rang.
Chasel was at the Burke Villa, looking at Alva's name on the phone screen; he answered the call after hesitation.
As soon as he answered it, Alva's hearty laughter sounded on the other end of the phone. "Congratulations. Your wish is coming true."
Holding a cup of coffee, Chasel stood in front of the window and looked at the twilight. "The same to you."
"Me? On what?" Alva played dumb.
Even Chasel himself might not figure out why he longed for Eudora's love so anxiously. Was it because he loved her deeply or just because he wanted to beat Colbert?
Anyway, he was the prime mover of what had happened to Eudora.
"Well, it's all good," Alva smiled. "However, be careful not to leave any evidence in case of inviting trouble, Mr. Burke."
"After tonight, Brad will forever disappear in Kenison City." Chasel narrowed his eyes.
"Mr. Burke, your means is still so vicious. Even I am no match for you."
Hearing Alva's sarcasm, Chasel hung up the phone without saying anything else.
