Chapter 1260
“If you run to mom every time someone bullies you, how are you gonna get a girlfriend?” Hannah said.
Farley didn’t respond
Awkwardness filled the air. Cornelia was amused by Hannah and Farley’s banter Clearly, they got along really well. That was something she didn’t have
Cornelia finally found Tahlia, but before they could really settle into life together, Tahlia left. Every lime she thought of Tahlia, Marcus would creep into her mind
When she really thought about it, it had been half a month since she and Marcus split. They hadn’t crossed paths since their last court meeting
This was what she wanted, but in the depths of the night, feelings she shouldn’t have would creep up on her.
Suddenly, her phone started buzzing non–stop. Cornelia took out her phone, and a bunch of messages from a strange number flooded her screen
The first one read I told you, Marcus and Jererny are not the same person, but you didn’t believe me.]
The second one read [Watch the video I sent you, you’ll see the real Marcus ]
Then, a video was sent
Without hesitation, Cornelia deleted all the messages and blocked the number. Shortly after, another strange number called.
Cornelia guessed it was probably Brennen. She didn’t want to listen to his nonsense, so she hung up. But he kept calling, even when he had to switch numbers.
Cornelia couldn’t take it anymore, so she picked up. “Who is this?”
On the other end, sure enough, Brennens voice came through, “You know damn well who this is, why ask?”
“Marcus and I are done. Whatever problems you guys have, sort it out yourselves, don’t involve me” Cornelia said.
This news stunned Brennen, “You guys split? You could bear leaving him? He could bear leaving you?”
“So why exactly are you calling me?” Cornelia asked.
Brennen replied, “You have to watch the video I sent you. After you do, give me a call.”
Cornelia responded, “I won’t watch it.”
“Cornelia, what are you so afraid of? Afraid of the truth? If you really trust Marcus, what’s there to be scared of?” Brennen said.
Cornelia chuckled lightly. “Your provocations won’t work on me”
“Heh, in that case, let Marcus await his fate.” Brennen said.
