Jeremy had been AWOL the entire day 

Cornelia had a full–blown panic attack. She paced nervously around her room, determined to track him down no matter what. She tried giving him a ning, but it was like trying to get blood out of a stone, no answer. So, she thought about calling his colleagues. But then, it dawned on her, that she didn’t have his colleagues digits. 

She didn’t know squat about Jeremy. Even after being hitched for two years, she was still in the dark about his job…. 

Feeling like a fish out of water, Comelia thought of Marcus and Briana. These siblings knew Jeremy better than she did and might have contacts she needed After some pondering, she shot a message to Marcus: “Hey, President Hartley, sorry to bug you this late. You don’t happen to have Jeremy’s work buddies contact, do you?” 

After sending the message, she stared at her phone, waiting for a reply. But Marcus was like a ghost, no response. 

Feeling a bit stood up, Cornelia decided to bite the bullet and give Marcus a call. 

It took forever for him to pick up. As soon as he answered, Cornelia blurted out “President Hartley, sorry to be a pain and call you this late. I just wondered if you have Jeremy’s colleagues‘ number?” 

But the voice on the other end was Dr. Dawson’s: “Comella, Marc’s swamped, hasn’t got time for your call. If there’s nothing else, I’m going to hang up” 

Comelia wasn’t ready to let this lead go cold: “Dr. Dawson, could you maybe ask him he has Jeremy’s colleagues‘ number?” 

Dr. Dawson replied: “Sorry! Marc’s off–limits, I can’t help you” And then she hung up 

Dr. Dawson was off her game today. Feeling high and dry, Cornelia decided to give Brana a call. No answer the first time, but Briana picked up the second time. 

Briana sounded like she just woke up: “Cornelia, what’s up?” 

Cornelia said “Briana, sorry to disturb your beauty sleep. I’ve been trying to reach Jeremy all day, and I’m worried sick. Do you have his colleagues‘ number, maybe! can reach him through them. Or is there any other way to get hold of him?” 

Briana suddenly sounded more awake: “Cornelia, are you saying you can’t reach your hubby?” 

She knew Marcus took their marriage seriously, he wouldn’t just ignore Comelia’s messages. 

Cornelia nodded hastily: “Yeah, Bri, can you help me reach him? As long as I know he’s okay, it doesn’t matter if he calls me back.” 

Briana said: “Cornelia, cool your jets, let me try to reach him first, see what he’s up to
