Chapter 988
He had it all wrong, thinking her desperate desire for a kid was because of her late grandma. He never suspected that she was, in fact, doing it for his own grandma. She always managed to stun him with these little things.
Marcus sais, "Cornelia."
Cornelia replied, "I know you're about to tell me to live for myself,
not to strive for fulfilling others’ wishes. But they're not just others.
They're my family. They love me, and most importantly, I want a child too."
In the end, Marcus caved, "If you want a baby, then let's have one."
Cornelia flashed him a smile, "Let's have two, a girl and a boy. The girl will be like me, the boy will look like you."
Marcus replied, "Ok."
Cornelia said, "Whether it's a boy or a girl, we have to love them equally. We need to be fair parents, no favoritism.’
Marcus replied, "Ok."
Cornelia said, "My grandma already gave us a nickname for our baby last time. We have to think of a formal name for the baby. One child will take your surname, and the other will take mine. Do you have any objections?"
Gently stroking her hair, Marcus said, "Not at all. Both kids can take your surname for all I care. Or when they grow up, they can even change their surnames if they want."
Cornelia said, "That's not happening. They must carry our surnames."
