The next morning I felt pretty crappy, I hadn't gotten enough sleep.
But I heard that everyone else had gotten up, so I decided that I should get up too.
I got into my wheelchair and rolled out of the room, not bothering to change out of the t-shirt.
The first thing I did was to use the bathroom and do my business, before heading downstairs.
I took the elevator down and when I opened, I saw Colton and Lucky talking.
It smelt like pancakes and a smile crept up my face.
"Look who's finally awake, we made waffles" Lucky said, gesturing towards the kitchen and I grinned.
Waffles, even better.
"Where's Lou?" I asked, while I put a waffle on my plate. They didn't seem to have any jam or cream, but sugar was fine.
"You mean Lucas?" Lucky asked and I nodded.
"Obviously" I chuckled.
I heated some water and made myself a cup of tea.
"He's out running" Colton chimed into our conversation and I wrinkled my nose.
"So he's one of those people. Ugh, I'm happy if I get out of bed before the sunset" I laughed at my own laziness and sat down in the living room, where Lucky and Colton were sat.
I happily chewed on my waffle while they were talking about different jobs at the camp.
"So you get to chose what you'd like to do?" Lucky asked, his head was leaning against his hand and he were looking deeply in thought.
"Yeah, well kinda at least. But if you'd like work as a raider, I think Sandra would let you." Colton explained and I looked up at this.
"Are you two raiders?" I asked, referring to Colton and Lou.
"Mmhmm, we run into the city and get stuff we need. We fight zombies if we must" Colton explained and I felt myself getting interested.
"I want to be a raider" I decided and crossed my arms.
"Not with your leg" Lucky pointed out and I frowned.
"Oh f*ck me" I whined and crossed my arms above my chest.
"About that, the doctors said that you should come by, so they can check in on your leg" Colton remembered and I nodded.
"I'm just going to get dressed, you can show me there then?" I demanded, more than asked and he nodded.
I took the small elevator up to the second floor and then once again realized that I had nothing to wear.
I decided that the shirt could be used today too and put the bra and the shorts on too.
I then made my way to the bathroom to wash my face.
When I got down again, Colton and Lucky were still sitting in the living room, talking.
"I'm ready to go" I rolled passed them, feeling pretty fly and then started to sing.
"You see me rolliiiiin', they hatiiiin'" I yelled and they both lifted their eyebrows.
"C'mon, what are you waiting fooooooooor??" I then started to sing and Colton rolled his eyes with a grin.
"Just go" He pushed and I shook my head.
"You gotta help me to the wheelchair outside" I reminded him and he sighed.
"Jump on my back then" I smiled innocently and he helped me up on his back.
He then put me down in the wheelchair outside and I realized that it was much harder to push by yourself.
"Do you think you can push me?" I asked sweetly, giving him my best puppy eyes and he cocked an eyebrow.
"Fiiiine" he gave in and started to push me across the camping.
People stared as we passed, probably due to the fact that I was still singing 'You see me rolling', but who knows, it could be something else too.
I saw many guards run around and it made me feel a little bit safer.
We soon arrived outside a cabin, with a big ass Red Cross on the outside.
"Here we are" Colton said, as he rolled me into the little cabin.
Inside it was white walls and everything felt very clean.
"You must be Raven" A guy who looked rather handsome for his age said. He looked around forty... maybe fifty and he had dark hair and a gentle smile.
"I'm Doctor Shepherd" He said, reaching a hand out.
"Yeah, I'm Raven... It's nice to meet you" I awkwardly said, smiling shyly.
"I'll be back in half an hour" Colton said as he walked out of the cabin, leaving me with the Doctor.
"I heard you broke your shin pretty bad, please enlighten me" He pushed me into another room, with a hospital bed in it and helped me up on it.
"Yea, uhm, I was attacked by a zombie and when I fell I hit my ankle really bad... I then tried to run away from the zombie and the bone came out of my leg... I don't remember this part though, since I passed out from the pain" I summoned it, and he nodded.
"We stopped my at a chemist's and got a plaster kit... Lucas stitched me up and corrected the bone" I then explained, I wrinkled my nose at the memory and Derek nodded.
"I'll have to take the plaster away, in order to see if it's alright and not infected" He explained and I nodded.
"Christoffer should be here with the narcotics" He looked at the door and soon a young guy ran in with a needle and I froze.
"Crap" I muttered under my breath.
"Wait, wait, wait. I'm sorry! Just... Just forget about it, okay?" I apologized to the horrified Doctor and he slowly nodded.
"I'm really sorry, it was an awful mistake of mine" He grumbled and sat down on a chair.
"You're going to be alright though, you'll just have to take it easy for a few days" He explained and I nodded, hesitantly.
"How long am I stuck with crutches or a wheelchair?" I then asked him, I made eye contact with Lou and he was giving me a weak smile.
"At least a month" He reasoned and I groaned.
"I'm basically screwed! What if it came a bunch of zombies here? I couldn't fight and I couldn't run, I'd be screwed" I whined and Lou's eyes hardened.
"We'd be by your side" Lucky assured me and I glared at him.
When I saw his hopeful eyes my glare softened and I pursed my lips.
"I'm still screwed" I muttered and Lucky shook his head with a smile.
"When can I leave this place?"
Derek furrowed his brow and then looked at me.
"You should stay the night and then, maybe, you can leave tomorrow"
I sighed and cleared my throat.
"Oh well" I mumbled and Derek soon leaved the room.
"You know what?" Loren then spoke for the first time.
I looked over at her curiously and she pursed her lips.
"We can have a sleepover here, so she won't feel so lonely!" She smiled and I laughed.
"Yeah, OMGOMGOMGOMG. Lucas, please, please, please" Colton pleaded Lou and I kept on laughing.
"Fine, whatever... But then we'll have to bring madrases and blankets... And someone have to bring food"
"Yes! I'll get the food and you can get blankets... Oh and you can get Tyson and Oliver! Okay and you do that... And you can go get that..." Everyone was talking and I kept on laughing at everyone's hysteria and excitement.
Soon almost everyone were on their ways to get stuff.
"I'll wait with Rave" Lou said, as Lucky hesitated in leaving. I gave him the thumbs up and he smiled before leaving us alone.
"How is your leg feeling?" He asked looking down at my blanket covered feet.
I removed the blanket and blushed when I realized that my shorts were off and I was wearing a hospital robe, it was pushed up, pretty high, revealing the boxers he borrowed me a few days ago.
"Oh god, these are ancient now and holy fuck my period. And how haven't I peed in five days?!" I blushed when I realized that boxers weren't the only thing I was wearing.
I was wearing a freaking diaper.
