Chapter 128 All’s Not Forgiven
Ryan was the most flustered of the entire group, his mind racing with memories of how he had mistreated Darya in the past.
Now, with Darya’s background and the fact that she had photos of him streaking. Ryan feared that she would seek revenge by releasing those photos to the world.
The mere thought of it triggered a massive headache, leaving him desperate for a solution.
He turned to Micah, his tone laced with trepidation. ‘Mikey, your ex–wife is not the vengeful type, is she?”
‘I don’t know.‘ Micah shot his friend a dismissive look. ‘But it’s probably not too late for you to buy that plane ticket out of the country.‘
Ryan cradled his head in both hands and groaned. ‘What am I supposed to do?”
It was at that moment that he caught sight of Darya, who appeared to be having a great time with her friends nearby.
“Timothy, you came back without telling us. Then you show up here with flowers only for Darya. Talk about being biased!‘ Bianca’s eyes narrowed as she teasingly punched Timothy’s arm.
Timothy brushed off her comment, winking at Darya and saying, ‘I only brought flowers for her because I only have eyes for her.‘
‘Aww, that’s so sweet!‘ Bianca sighed. ‘It’s such a shame I missed the opportunity to witness Darya giving the Cavanaughs a taste of their own medicine. I picked the wrong time to go overseas.‘
Darya remained silent, wearing a languid smile as she took a sip of her cocktail.
‘Say, Darya, I heard Brion’s returned to Hagen. Is that true?‘
Harley’s unexpected question caught everyone’s attention.
Bianca couldn’t help but tease her, winking mischievously. ‘Harley, please tell me you’re not still interested in
Darya’s second brother. He’s such a nerd.‘
‘My brother’s not a nerd,‘ Darya protested. ‘He’s just too caught up with his research to pay much attention to
other stuff.‘
‘Hey there, pretty lady, can I buy you a drink?‘
Just as the four of them were engrossed in their conversation, a handsome man approached Darya, a smile playing on his lips as he attempted to strike up a conversation.
Before Darya could respond, Timothy placed a possessive hand on her shoulder and gave the newcomer a

menacing glare. ‘Can’t you see she’s already in good company?
Timothy’s usually playful demeanour couldn’t hide the coldness in his eyes, sending the handomy mum quirky apologizing and retreating
At that moment, Timothy felt a prickling on the back of his neck, like he wm being machet
Both he and Darya turned their heads simultaneously, meeting Micah’a interes
Micah had not taken his eyes off Darya since Ryan pointed her out to hims
She wore a sleek, black minidress with chic suspenders, accentuating her bowden figure
Her sultry smoky eyes were framed with long lashes
Her distracted, slightly flirtatious smile and graceful gestures added an irresistible allure to her already captivating presence.
Micah had never seen her like this before.
‘Do you think we should go over there and say hello? Ryan whispered
He had wanted to apologise to Darya when they last met at the airport, but he lacked the courage
Now, fuelled by a bit of Dutch courage, he found the determination.
Without waiting for a reply, Ryan stood up immediately and made his way toward Darya
‘Darya, ahem, I mean, Miss McAllister.‘ His voice was feeble, but he took a deep breath and conmoved, Te to apologise for the way I treated you in the past.‘
He raised the glass in his hand. ‘Please consider this my way of saying sorry.”
Before Darya could react, Ryan swiftly gulped down the whole glass of wine.
Bianca couldn’t help but sneer, ‘Mr Mendez, you’re quite the drinker. Don’t you think a single glass of wine is a grossly insufficient apology?‘
Embarrassed, Ryan quickly replied, ‘Then, um, then I’ll buy drinks for everyone tonight!”
‘Mr Mendez, that’s really generous of you,‘ Darya responded, a hint of a smile on her lips.
She snapped her fingers. ‘Waiter!‘
Responding to her call, a waiter rushed over. ‘Yes, miss, what would you like to order?” ‘Bring us ten bottles of the finest wine you have here,‘ Darya said without hesitation.
The waiter stood there, eyes wide open, clearly stunned.
Ryan had never expected Darya to request ten bottles of the most expensive wine available.
The Crystal Chalice was renowned for its luxury; even their regular wine cost more than a thousand dollars per bottle, let alone the most expensive ones.
‘Miss, are you sure? The ten best bottles of wine here could cost a million dollars,‘ the waiter asked hesitantly.
A million dollars?
