Chloe’s neck stiffened. She then looked up at Noah, but he appeared gentle and harmless. Maybe they were so close to each other, she felt like running away. She turned and looked at the phone. Luckily, the photos on the Internet were vague. Besides, she had stayed in the car, so most of the scenes featured only Megan.
She inwardly heaved a sigh of relief. After she confirmed that Noah was his usual self, she immediately changed the topic. "Michael's video will be posted tomorrow. If the feedback is good, we can invite him for a live show."
"Forget the live show," Noah said.
"Why?"
"We have far more suitable candidates for that. Michael just isn’t cut out for it."
Chloe simply nodded and did not ask further. She trusted his judgment.
Desmond looked at the pair and cleared his throat. "Let's not talk about work while at the dinner table."
"Okay, Grandpa," Chloe agreed obediently. She then asked, "Grandpa, do you know a person called Felix Pierce?"
"Felix Pierce?" Desmond had a vague impression of him. "I believe he’s a confidante of the royal family and came to Exotic Star’s exhibitions several times."
"I see."
"Something the matter?"
Chloe glanced at Noah. He nodded and indicated that she could broach the topic.
She dwelled on it for a long time. "It seems that my mother knew him, and their relationship wasn't simple. Benjamin claims that my mother slept with another man."
Desmond was old, but he could still think fast. He quickly understood what she meant. He then chuckled. "I think you’ve misunderstood something. Felix’s body isn’t working right."
