As Chloe wiped off her smudged lipstick, she asked helplessly, "Why do you and your assistant just love giving people rides?"

Both Lucas and Joseph had offered to drive her. Did they have that much free time on their hands?

Joseph glanced at her. "You should be honored."

"No, thank you. I think that honor suits Xavia far better."

"I never slept with Xavia after we separated, and neither do I like her. You’re the only person who could possibly be Jas' mother."

Chloe turned to look at him with shining eyes. "Are you saying that you like me?"

Joseph met her gaze. He knew her following words would be unpleasant, but his heart skipped a beat nonetheless. A deep passion arose in his icy eyes but he knew he could not say yes and be bewitched by her. He would only be placing himself in a disadvantageous position.

He averted his gaze and opened the car door, saying coldly, "Get in."

"Why should I? I have a fiance." Chloe raised her chin arrogantly and ignored his kindness.

Joseph did not want to waste time, so he picked her up and shoved her into the passenger seat. Seeing that she was about to leap out of the car, Joseph snorted. "I'll kiss you again if you get out. And I won't stop so quickly this time."

Chloe blushed and kicked at his groin. Joseph reacted quickly and grabbed her ankle. He then gently put it down. "Stop it. I have to drive."

She snorted and stopped struggling. Joseph glanced at her cheek. They were close enough that he could see her peach fuzz. She pouted to show her dissatisfaction and looked very adorable.

Joseph clenched his fists and held back his urge to pinch her cheeks. He swore he would have fallen for her even if they had not met back then.

As she cast her eyes downward, Chloe found the atmosphere quite romantic. She sneered sarcastically. Does he actually like me? What a joke!’

Joseph gave Chloe a ride back to Exotic Star and got out of her hair. His experience told him that she would not believe whatever he said. She would be more convinced once she found out the truth herself.

"Where's Noah?"

"He's having a meeting in the conference room, Ms. Chloe."
