Amelia leaned in to explain. “We each have a points score—you’ll see it when you open the app. The higher your points, the better your track record. Everyone’s trying to climb the leaderboard… especially those guys over there.” She nodded toward a group of men at the back.

Miranda frowned. “So… what’s the prize?”

Amelia grinned. “Nothing, really. Just bragging rights. Well, at the end of the year, the lowest scorer has to clean the whole office, top to bottom. That’s the deal.”

Miranda smirked. “Seriously?”

Apparently, Beck knew how to handle this bunch.

Miranda could tell: losing points seemed to sting these people more than losing money.
