Chapter 578 Betrayal In The Shadows
*Zander*
"Alpha, I have called the urgent meeting at the last minute because it was necessary," Maddox informed me as I listened to him while reading the reports.
"Hmm! Did everyone gather?" I asked, closing the file and standing up as we headed toward the conference room.
"Yes, Alpha," he replied.
As Maddox said, alphas from different packs of the north had gathered. I threw an intent glance at everyone and found eager eyes watching me with curiosity.
"As you all know," I started addressing the room, "we have gathered here to discuss the issue of rogues. The problem is escalating, and these rogues are growing stronger with each passing day. We need to find a solution because, according to the latest intelligence, they have amassed a formidable army."
The alphas nodded in agreement, their expressions grim with the weight of the situation. I could sense the tension in the air as we contemplated the threat posed by the rogue forces.
"We cannot allow them to continue unchecked," I continued, my voice firm with determination. "Our packs must unite and stand together against this common enemy. We must strategize and coordinate our efforts to ensure the safety and security of our territories."
"But how is it possible, Alpha? How can they acquire more armies?" Alpha Zachary's voice echoed with concern, his brow furrowed in worry.
"That's the major concern," I replied, my gaze sweeping across the room. "We are doing everything we can to find out."
"It looks like some of us are traitors and helping those rogues," Alpha Hunter's voice held a note of accusation.
"That's true, someone among us is aiding the rogue king. Without help, he couldn't hide and live in the north," Maddox contemplated, his tone heavy with frustration.
"The strange thing is no one has ever seen the rogue king," Alpha Grayson remarked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
"The bastard always wears a mask, according to the reports," Maddox informed, his words filled with contempt.
"Let us not underestimate the power of unity," I concluded, my voice firm and resolute, breaking the silence that followed. "Together, we will overcome this threat and emerge stronger than ever before." Before I could get any responses, we heard some commotion outside the conference room, a sense of urgency filling the air.
"Who is it?" I inquired, my voice echoing softly in Maddox's mind through our telepathic connection.
"It's Avery," Maddox's response rippled back, laced with an undertone of concern, "arguing with the guards."
I didn't want this important conference to be interrupted, so I decided to go outside and check myself why she was causing trouble for the guards.
