Chapter 119 Spoil Him
Maggie jumped up from the couch in shock. She exclaimed, “What?”
“Okay, sir.” Sofia’s smile became even more genuine.
Maggie looked towards Nathael, unable to help herself, and asked, “Mr. Harris, the bill…”
“Of course, you’re paying.” Nathael said slowly as he put back on the watch he had taken off carlier. His movements were graceful and attractive.
Maggie laughed in exasperation. She questioned, “Why? I only dirtied one of your suits.”
Nathael smiled and looked straight at Maggic. He said in a light voice, “You said they all looked good on me.”
“But I didn’t say I’d buy all of them, did I?” Maggie was freaking out; her gaze flicked to Sofia, who was busily punching in the order nearby, her heart barely able to take it.
Surprisingly. Nathael leaned in and spoke in a low voice, “If you weren’t planning on buying them all, why did you ask me to try them all on?”
His eyes, with their double eyelids spreading at the corners with a slight uplift, were inexplicably charming.
It was more playful and roguish than his usual profound and stern demeanour, where he shed some of his fierceness while revealing more of the innate mischief within.
Maggie was left speechless.
“You say they look good on me, and you want me to try them, so why shouldn’t you buy them all if you want me to continue trying?” he reasoned.
That’s right! Why should he keep trying if he wasn’t going to buy it?
Her brain buzzed. At this point, she finally realised Nathael had been playing her all along!
Urghhh!
No wonder he didn’t mind the trouble, patiently humoring her with each suit. Just minutes ago, she felt quite triumphant sitting on the couch, as if she were in a position of power, but now she felt like crying.
*Sir, the total is 458,794 dollars.” Sofia approached Nathael with the bill.
Nathael motioned for Maggie to receive the bill instead.
Maggie looked at the long list of brand names on the bill. She felt she couldn’t breathe and was on the brink of passing out.
Immediately after, Nathael asked Sofia nonchalantly, “Have you packed the shoes and bags?”
Sofia was taken aback, then she quickly came to her senses and said, “I will pack them and prepare the bill right away.”

Chapter 119 Spoll Him
Maggie stared at the eight pairs of men’s leather shoes resentfully. She stared fiercely at Nathael and lashed out, “Nathael, what are you? A centipede? Why would a man buy so many shoes?”
Nathael grinned again. The look in his eyes was cold as he said, “To annoy you!”
Maggie almost choked on her own frustration.
See, is that something a person would say?
Maggie was livid. The joy she had experienced earlier from watching him try on clothes had now given way to the desire to cry.
She never dreamed that the dignified Mr. Harris would scheme against her in such a way.
Wasn’t he shameless?
She dirtied one of his suits, and now he wants her to compensate for ten or twenty.
A few minutes later, Sofia returned with the bill and handed it directly to Maggie without Nathael having to remind her.
Maggie tried to squeeze out a smile.
She was mad, yet she still had to maintain a smile.
Maggie looked at Nathael, trying hard to squeeze out a couple of tears, but probably because she was itching to scratch his face at that moment, she just couldn’t cry no matter how hard she tried.
“Nathael, I don’t have the money.”
Maggie’s eyes were downcast, looking desolate, as pitiable and helpless as one could be.
Maggie completely ignored Sofia, who waited for her to complete the transaction on the side.
Well, as long as she had a thick skin, everything will be fine, right? She didn’t believe that someone of Nathael’s stature wouldn’t feel embarrassed.
Nathael chuckled, a hint of devilish allure in his eyes.
He leaned in close to her ear and whispered softly, “Don’t worry, I’ll have Alex buy some women’s clothing, and you can try them on for me.”
Maggie’s brain went blank for a few seconds.
