Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We (Maggie and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130 She Is Willing

Vanessa’s cheeks flushed, then drained of colour, sensing a stark change in Maggie’s demeanour. It seemed- a deliberate effort to complicate matters for her.

Trapped inside the vehicle, Vanessa’s eyes appeared red and swollen, lending her a sorrowful expression as tears cascaded down her checks.

As Maggie noticed the tears streaking her cheeks, she plunged into profound contemplation.

It seems

tears at ere’s still something to glean from Vanessa. At the very least, she doesn’t possess the skill to shed

“Maggie, Vanessa and I both agreed to what happened between us. If you find it hard to accept, there’s no need to complicate things for her. If you’re upset, aim your emotions at me.”

Joseph’s words dripped with frostiness as he felt the weight of his duty as a man to confront the situation.

“You?” Maggie sneered at him and responded directly, “I have no interest in further interaction with you. Why would I blame you? Or perhaps you are willing to forsake everything for love and rush to Vanessa’s aid?”

Joseph frowned, saying firmly, “Don’t be obstinate. This isn’t the time for outbursts. The future of Luster Corporation hangs in the balance at this moment. We can delve into this matter further after we return.”

Witnessing his typical facade of hypocrisy, Maggie felt disgusted.

Stripped of the veil of childhood memories and the countless times he had come to her aid, Joseph meant nothing to her.

Being a designer, she upheld the utmost aesthetic standards.

At that instant, she came to the stark realisation that Joseph’s presence was utterly abhorrent to her.

“You’re overanalysing. I don’t harbour such a trivial grudge, especially towards you. The success of Luster Corporation is important, but your betrayal of emotions and open affairs is also significant. Have Mom and Dad instilled deceitfulness and duplicity in you all these years??

Maggie smiled, her crimson lips forming a sardonic curve as she spoke frankly.

Joseph’s countenance grew sombre, his discontent clearly visible.

“I know I was wrong in the past, but Maggie, it was you who turned me away. I’m just an ordinary man with desires.”

Whenever Joseph pondered on this matter, he experienced a sense of discomfort.

It resembled something he deemed his own, yet was barred from, sparking an unfulfilled longing. The sensation was undeniably vexing and discomfiting.

Maggie chuckled. “Those on the streets won’t refuse you. They’ll even lie down, ready to embrace you whenever you please.”

She paused, casting a meaningful glance at Vanessa, and then said, “And naturally, Ms. Brown won’t turn

Chapter 130 She Is Willing

A pair of morally bankrupt and shameless scoundrels, truly made for each other.

Vanessa’s lips tightened, her anger palpable.

She… she actually compared me to those streetwalkers!

“Alright, since you’re being irrational, don’t blame me for being straightforward. You’ve had Joseph’s attention for so many years. He’s been kind to you, but what about you? Are your feelings for him real now? Do you have any residual affection for him whatsoever?”

Maggie was speechless..

What absurdity is she uttering? Clearly, we are not in agreement.

“Sorry, I’ve never had any attachment to discarded refuse. As for back then, if he treated me well, it was because he was willing to. How about you? Wasn’t he as good to you?”

Maggie’s eyes held a captivating allure, while her curved crimson lips were tantalizing and bewitching. There was an indescribable sharpness to her, a cold beauty reminiscent of a thorny rose unfolding in the early morning after a rainstorm.

Evidently distant, yet unquestionably appealing.
