Annie raised her eyebrows, looking at Joseph, and said, “But I heard that you and Maggie are not on good.
terms.”
Joseph found himself a little taken aback by her candour and burst out laughing, “How could that be? We’re a family, after all. Blood is thicker than water.
“Always agree to disagree is what best describes me and Maggie. We are happy to see that she shares the same interest in jewellery as you did.”
Annie looked at her and asked. “So you’re saying that Maggie has a definite say in Honor Wide?”
But the question left him batlled.
Maggie’s had always been a special presence for them. Ronald Cameron had been wary of her, so she was not holding any position in Honor Wide or any shares.
She indeed has no say.
She did work for the Camerons, but she would never be given a chance to be involved in the company’s operation.
Even letting her do so could get them to sign Annie easily.
“She definitely has a say, but Honor Wide is running on a shareholding cooperative system. Nobody has a definite say on anything
Joseph was trying to sugarcoat the situation. He turned to Maggic and said to her, “Isn’t it right, Maggie?”
Maggie gave him a look and said to Annie, ‘Honor Wide is a suitable platform for you. Though it is a new company, it does have a resourceful team. It’ll be great to get you to join us. We can work together to make it an even more renowned brand.”
Annie didn’t say anything with her words. She was giving it serious thought.
Maggie remained silent. But she knew that Annie wouldn’t agree easily.
The shareholding cooperative system and also the resourceful team that they’ve mentioned would have the downside of her not being able to decide on things independently.
Annie was smart enough to catch on to the tension within the company.
“How is it? Are you interested in joining Mr. Cameron and Ms. Brown to build up Honor Wide?” Maggie asked.
Annie was a passionate designer, but she was not a person full of ambition and desires.
Or else she wouldn’t settle for running a small studio on her own. Even so, she was still able to work with quite a number of famous brands every year.
But she would lose all the chances once she was signed to Honor Wide.
Maggie turned to Joseph/saying. “Do you have the contract ready? Let’s talk about the terms with Ms.

Chapter 135 Regret
Joseph responded to her with a nod and took out a contract that had been drafted out.
Annie had a rough look at the contract. Maggie, who was sitting next to her too, was able to glance through it.
The Camerons were only offering money and positions. From what was drafted out, she would have a say among the designers, but not so in the marketing and management tier.
If her design was not sought after or the management tier was not happy about it, she would be left with nothing to do but just accept and swallow it.
The Camerons had also laid down two proposals. The first one was an exclusive contract with the Camerons. The other one was that Annie could still work with other brands while working for them. All she needed to do was meet the sales target they’d set.
Though it was a contract drafted with sincerity, it was not alluring enough for a passionate designer.
Tm sorry, Maggie and Mr. Cameron. I don’t think this is a place for me. It was such a lucrative term, but I don’t work in such an environment. We don’t share the same idea.”
