Maggie stiffened all over, her body tensing noticeably at his unexpectedly direct words.

Their heavy breaths mingled together, and it was only then that Maggie realised she was sitting on his lap with her skirt already as short as it could be.

Her checks flushed crimson, and her almond eyes locked onto his as if hiding two hooks. She hesitated before speaking, her voice soft and seductive. “Are you sure?”

Nathael pulled his thin lips into a smirk, his voice deep and commanding. “Go ahead.”

“What if you can’t control yourself?” Maggie raised an eyebrow, sitting on his lap, her eyes slightly lowered as she looked at him.

Nathael lounged against the sofa back, his expression relaxed, exuding a hint of mischief and nonchalance. He spoke with confidence, I can.”

Maggie chuckled, feeling a bit of excitement.

She cursed her stubborn streak!

With brisk movements, she rose from his lap, her steps light. She stopped by the clothes rack and picked

out a few outfits.

But as she tried on each outfit one by one, the man on the sofa remained unfazed, as if nothing had changed.

Maggie was annoyed, feeling an itch of frustration. Determined, she grabbed a fox–themed outfit.

It was a strapless dress with bold orange matched with black lace, and it was put together pretty well.

Just looking at the dress, it seemed alright, except it was a bit short and the lace trim gave it a less serious. vibe.

Hmm, Maggie felt her telerance was gradually increasing.

Grabbing the clothes, she turned and headed into the bathroom. Standing before the mirror, she took a long look at herself.

The reflection seemed a bit strange. Despite seeing her own face day in and day out, the flirtatiousness and innocence in the woman’s almond–shaped eyes felt unfamiliar.

Well, my face is still attractive, and my figure isn’t bad either.

But why isn’t Nathael reacting at all?

This is an absolute disgrace!

It doesn’t make any sense, does it?

Refusing to give up, Maggie changed into a different outfit, opting for a short orange and black skirt, a style completely different from before.

Nathael was unusually patient. He sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette. His gaze occasionally flicked towards the tightly closed bathroom door. His eyes were dark and intense.

He lowered his gaze, feeling dry–mouthed and restless, almost unable to control his urgent desire to claim

her.

He took a long drag from his cigarette, feeling like things couldn’t keep going like this.

A few minutes later, Maggie stepped out of the bathroom.

Nathael glanced up, his eyes pausing on her. His striking eyes were as dark as ink, intense, and filled with

desire.

She was wearing the short orange and black skirt, her waist tightly cinched. A pair of pointed fox ears adorned her head, with a fluffy tail trailing behind her skirt.

It was a completely different style from before, and it was driving Nathael’s senses wild.

Maggie’s checks turned red, feeling a sudden wave of embarrassment. She glanced down briefly before mustering the courage to look up again.

Nathael’s intense gaze felt like a searing heat, locking onto her, and making her skin prickle.

“Like what you see?” Maggie didn’t move closer, her eyes teasing with a hint of mischief, looking both innocent and naughty.

Nathael’s throat bobbed slightly as he moved closer to her.

Maggie instinctively took a step back, but then stopped herself, meeting Nathael’s gaze briefly before looking away. Her fingers fidgeted nervously, unable to resist touching the fluffy tail behind her.

Maggie had no idea that her appearance resembled that of a fox spirit from the mountains, only recently taking on a human form. She carried with her a sense of innocence mixed with natural allure.

Every smile and every movement seemed bewitching.

Nathael pressed her against the cabinet, his gaze carefully scanning her features.
