Chapter 167 Last Missing Piece of Puzzle
Maggie arched an eyebrow and offered a wry smile, “Indeed, I must be quite unlikable to men; Joseph doesn’t fancy me. Why would Mr. Harris have his eyes on me, right?”
Vanessa also smiled, kindly adding, “Maggie, you shouldn’t put yourself down, Mr. Harris
“Enough!” Joseph interrupted sharply, unwilling to hear more.
Vanessa paused. Her expression turned awkward.
Maggie didn’t waste any more time with her. She raised her glass to toast Joseph before gracefully walking
away.
As Maggie passed by. Vanessa clearly saw her lips move, silently mouthing. ‘Fool!”
Enraged. Vanessa trembled all over, wanting to retort, but Maggie was already too far away.
Joseph closed his eyes. He recalled Nathael’s embrace of Maggie and feeling an inexplicable irritation.
The luxurious banquet hall was ablaze with dazzling lamps. A gentle piano serenade flowed through the
air.
The guests had mostly arrived. Maggie was adeptly mingling around.
Shawn arrived in a gray suit and looked quite flush. He made his entrance and walked straight over to Maggie.
“It’s been a while, Miss Adam. You’re as breathtaking as ever!”
Maggie warmly shook hands with Shawn. She said, ‘And you, Mr. Lewis, are as spirited and dashing as always!”
After exchanging pleasantries with Shawn, she checked the time.
It was eight in the evening. If her memory served her right, Shawn’s first shipment of goods was due to arrive at the port at 9.40 PM, to be handled and unloaded by his people.
Seemingly relieved that his merchandise was nearly home, Shawn was visibly overjoyed at the prospect of the upcoming profit.
When Noah and Master Cameron saw Shawn, they greeted him with great enthusiasm.
“Mr. Lewis, welcome! Your generous support has been crucial to my family’s recent success.”
From a distance, Maggie watched this scene with a smile.
What a lively scene!
The Camerons had eagerly scheduled their celebration for today; wasn’t it because the Adams new jewelry collection for the next season was launching tomorrow? They intended to show off their prowess today.

Relying on a massive promotional campaign, plus the foundation of the Cameron construction business, and undercutting the market with low prices, not to mention Vanessa’s theft of design drafts from Adams,
The Camerons‘ combination of moves had been undoubtedly successful.
Soon after, Mia made an appearance with Jordan. Her long, wavy hair fell beautifully over her shoulders, and she was dressed in a black and red dress complemented by a set of diamond jewelry that was absolutely dazzling.
Seeing her. Maggie couldn’t help but smile. Mia looked as if she were there to cause a stir, adorned from head to toe with jewelry from either Adams or other international brands.
In order to support Maggie’s and in anticipation of claiming compensation from the Camerons when they failed, Mia had invested heavily this time at the Camerons, She ordered more than 15 million in jewelry, which delighted Noah immensely.
Maggie watched the exchange, her smile deepening at Ronald’s familiar yet feigned warmth.
Both were veterans of countless business battles, and Philip returned the greeting enthusiastically. He said, “Not at all. Ronald, you have personally sent me an invitation. I certainly couldn’t miss it! Congratulations
your company’s triumphant debut and its soaring sales!”
Standing by his father’s side in an elegant white suit, Ericko resembled a refined gentleman.
