Chapter 314 Love Changes!

Maggie remained nestled in his embrace, watching him tinker with the phone.

Before long, the previous photo was snapped and cropped into a headshot size.

Nathael chose the side profile of the two of them putting on makeup because, due to the angle, most people who knew her could recognise her without it being too conspicuous.

“It’s a couple’s profile picture. Maggie curled her lips, somewhat surprised that Nathael would indulge in such childish things.

However, in love, everyone is a child.

“Isn’t it too flashy?” Maggie asked while taking the phone, changing their profile picture and the background of their WhatsApp chat window to a photo of the two of them.

The photo taken with the phone wasn’t very clear, especially since it was taken in the car. However, the photos from the photographer would take a few more days to come through. Maggie was feeling impatient, so she decided to make do with what she had for now.

Nathael swiftly changed his profile picture and background before putting away her phone. Out of the corner of her eye, he caught Maggie accidentally opening the contact list.

At first glance, the first line was particularly striking, with the large words ‘Crazy Old Fool Nathael‘ standing out prominently.

Maggie felt like she was dying inside. Just as she was about to exit WhatsApp, she accidentally tapped on the contacts list, and coincidentally, the last person who called her was Nathael.

She quickly exited the page, pretending as if nothing had happened at all.

Nathael stood frozen in place, doubting his eyesight, slowly raising her gaze to the small object in her

arms.

Maggie blinks, her eyes filled with innocence and confusion as she looks at him. They locked eyes, a silent challenge passing between them: whoever looked away first would be the loser!

With a bright but puzzled expression, Maggie asked, “What’s wrong?”

She was acting so convincingly that Nathael, if not certain he hadn’t misinterpreted, might have genuinely

believed he had misunderstood her.

Nathael remained silent, unlocking his phone and dialling Maggie’s number directly.

In an instani, Maggie’s phone began to ring.

The words ‘Crazy Old Fool Nathael‘ flashed wildly on the screen,

Maggie couldn’t help but palm her forehead. Her lips pursed in a frown as she glared at him

disapprovingly. “What are you doing? Can’t we just live in peace? Couldn’t you pretend you didn’t see it? Acting like this will get you nowhere with a girlfriend!”

Nathael laughed at her reversal. “You’ve got quite the comeback, huh?”

Chapter 314 Love Changes!

Feeling guilty, Maggie averted her gaze and whispered, “Who told you to always bully me before? I changed it back then.”

Nathael chuckled coldly. “Maggie, have you lost your conscience?”

Maggie stayed silent, busying herself with his buttons, determined to play dead until the end.

Nathael pinched her chin, his voice sharp and cold. “Just wait and see how I deal with you tonight!”

At the sound of those words, Maggie couldn’t help but yield.

Ever since that night of his birthday, she had been running a high fever. He hadn’t touched her for the past few days, but today, she couldn’t guarantee he wouldn’t be ruthless.

The thought of past grievances made Maggie’s legs feel weak, even just thinking about it.

“Alex, stop the car! I want to get out!” Maggie exclaimed urgently.

Unfortunately, Alex was Nathael’s lackey. He turned up the music and shouted, “Ms. Adam, what did you

say?”

“I said stop the car. I want to get out!” Maggie’s tone rose a few notches as well..

“What? No need to stop the car. You can get out when we get home. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure of it!” Alex didn’t dare to offend either of his bosses, so he pretended not to hear.

Maggie was almost driven to the brink of exasperation by him. Nathael looked at her calmly, clearly not worried in the least.

“Alex! Just wait and see! Maggie gritted her teeth, speaking fiercely.

Alex silently brainwashed himself, muttering under his breath, “I can’t hear, I can’t hear…

Seeing that escaping wasn’t an option, Maggie turned to Nathael, intending to pick a fight with him. “What did you write my contact name as? Does it meet my approval?”

With that, Maggie reached out to snatch his phone.
