I stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel loosely around my body, my skin still damp and warm from the water. My hair clung to my shoulders, and the headache that had been lingering since I threw up was still pounding. I could barely focus, my mind foggy from exhaustion. The walk back to the dorm was a blur. Aiden had walked me, but I hadn’t been paying attention.

lights were still off, and the dark room felt like a relief. It helped with the headache, so I didn’t bother switching them on.

I let the towel ‘slip from my body, turning to grab my clothes, when I froze.

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. There, sitting at Sofie’s desk on the other side of the room, was Aiden.

“What the fuck?”

For a second, my mind went blank. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even speak. I was completely naked, and Aiden had just seen everything.

A jolt of panic rushed through me, and I quickly bent down, snatching the towel off the floor and wrapping it tightly around my body, my hands trembling as I clutched the fabric to my chest. My face burned with humiliation.

“Aiden!” I finally managed to sputter, my voice sharp and shaky.
